Chapter 172 The Unexpected Mobile Explosion
Me Lovett’s eyes sparkles. Could it be that Freya had a penchant for sour food?
Returning her smile, she said, “Of course, of course! I go pick some for you right away”
“Higgins Have you seen my harvesting shears? I need to gather some tangerines for Ms. Gomez!”
With a radiant smile, she exited the room.
Freya collected her thoughts and turned around. She retrieved a glass of milk, reset her phone’s data, and placed it in the microwave.
She then retreated to a safe distance, watching as the microwave began to hum and heat up. Suddenly, the edges of her phone ignited, culminating in a violent explosion.
A harsh, acrid smell permeated the entire kitchen.
“Ms. Gomez! Ms. Gomez Ms. Lovett and Higgins rushed in, followed by Taylor Martinez who had been in the living room.
“Ms. Gomez, are you alright?” Ms. Lovett hurried forward to support a visibly shaken Freya
Freya hadn’t anticipated such a violent explosion. She had seen a foreign blogger conduct a similar experiment online, placing a phone in a microwave.
Despite the shock, there was no denying that the phone was utterly destroyed.
Clutching her glass of milk, Freya wore a look of panic. She turned to the concerned faces around her with a guilt–ridden smile. Tm fine. Don’t worry, I think I’m just overwhelmed by a project I’ve been working on recently. I must be exhausted”
“I thought I put the milk in the microwave, but it was my phone instead? What a scatterbrain I am.”
*As long as you’re okay. Ms. Gomez. Please, sit and rest” Ms. Lovett urged, her voice laced with panic. Mr. Morgan had entrusted them with Freya’s care. If anything happened to her, they would be in serious trouble.
Higgins approached the microwave’s wreckage, retrieved the charred remains of her phone, and sighed. “Ms. Gomez. I’m afraid you’ll need a new phone. This one’s beyond repair
“Please dispose of it for me, Higgins,” Freya sighed.
In a corner. Taylor frowned. He sensed something was amiss with Freya, but he couldn’t pinpoint what.
His phone rang, interrupting his thoughts. It was Nathaniel.
Nathaniel sounded anxious, ever since Freya had unexpectedly embraced him the previous night, accusing him of choosing to marry Abigail over her.

He was perplexed. The Freya he knew now was not the sweet, slightly naive Freya from three years ago. Yet, he couldn’t let her go. He wanted to make amends.
After dealing with some urgent paperwork at the office early in the morning, he felt compelled to call Freya. He wanted to ask her opinion on the toast he had made for her, to know what she thought of his cooking.
But she didn’t answer his calls, not once but thrice. Panic set in, and he called Taylor.
“Where’s Freya? Why isn’t she answering my calls?” Nathaniel’s voice was rushed, fearing Freya had disappeared again, just like last time. The thought drove him to the brink of insanity.
Taylor glanced at Freya, who was seated on a chair, and whispered, “Ms. Gomez accidentally microwaved her phone, and it exploded, Mr. Morgan
