Chapter 224 Agreement
Nathaniel’s grip only grew tighter around her arm. He did that to stop her from saying mean things. His heart could not bear her cold and sharp words, which could break it over and over again. “Freya, stop pushing it. Please don’t push it anymore..” He gasped and continued to say, “You’re driving me crazy.”
“Could you just agree because of the ten percent shares…”
She was silent because she knew him well, so she knew that he had no limits. She did not dare to anger him at this moment, and she was stuck in a mess. “Nathaniel, I’m not your toy. I want my freedom!” She pushed him away, even though she was getting breathless from his kisses.
He stared at the woman right in front of him, and he could not bear how calm she was. They used to be a couple three years ago. She always looked at him with love, but it was all gone. She was only willing to make deals with him at this moment. His heart was torn apart into pieces, but he knew that he was the one causing it. He should not keep her by his side. However, he could not send her away after seeing the footage of her forced abortion. She was indeed ruthless, being able to bargain with him at such a moment.
“Freya, you… you’re very sure that I’ll be giving in, right?” He gasped and said, “I promise you…” He did not need to be careful after agreeing with her, so he leaned in to kiss her passionately.
The following morning, Freya woke up on a soft and big bed. Her entire body was sore, not being able to move without hurting. She frowned and looked out the window. She did not know when Nathaniel purchased this villa that was located by the ocean, and it had a private beach for sunbathing. There were several ferries docked by the bay, which also belonged to him.
Nathaniel was not someone who enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle. He purchased all of them as investments because the value of the money might drop. He himself did not know how many properties he owned. He just hired cleaners to clean them, and he would stay in these places randomly. The wind blew open the curtain, and she could see the wooden plank road connecting to the ocean.
She was completely exhausted and passed out yesterday, not knowing when Nathaniel carried her back. The next moment that she regained consciousness was already the next morning. She tried to move her body, and her legs felt weak. She tried to walk to the open–air balcony. Both the ground–floor and first–floor bedrooms had the same type of balcony. They were too tired to go up to the first–floor master bedroom yesterday, so they simply picked a bedroom on the ground floor to rest in. Their clothes scattered all over the floor, and her cars flushed looking at them. Ms. Lovett was not here to clean up, and Nathaniel sent everyone away just to have alone time with her. So, she picked up the clothes, including his, and put them into the automatic washing
machine.
