She felt a little dejected as she was unable to find any secrets about him. She chuckled and knew that it would be impossible for anyone to leave something so important on their office computer. It must be on his personal laptop. She could not accept the fact that she found nothing on his computer. He left for so long with so many people, and was the perfect chance for her to snoop around. She spent half an hour searching for clues only to return empty handed. However, her focus shifted to his socials app, but she decided to forget about it since Nathaniel would be notified if she logged into his account on his computer. She did not want to take the risk. Just as she was about to call it quits, she zoned out for a moment in front of the computer while Taylor stood outside. Suddenly, the screensaver kicked in and it was a slideshow of different pictures. They were all pictures of her. She was not a fan of taking pictures and those pictures were taken when they were still fresh in their relationship. She had no idea when he had taken those pictures as well. It was a picture of her eating ice cream, making a wish in front of a wishing well, her snowgliding and more.

Every picture was her at her most beautiful. She was vibrant and happy. As Freya saw those pictures, she could not believe that was how she used to be in the past. She also could not believe that Nathaniel would watch the slideshow when he was alone.

My father jumped to his death here… Suddenly, Freya unplugged the computer and could only stare at the screen while her hands shook. Since she had ripped the plug out, she bumped into the desk, causing the folder to fall on the ground, scattering papers all over.

“Ms. Freya!” Taylor yelled as he snapped her back to reality.

“I’m fine!” She tried to sound as calm as possible as she picked up the documents and walked out of the office.

Taylor frowned at her impatiently, but she ignored him and walked straight to her office. Her mood was in a complete mess then. Apparently, she recalled what Taylor said to her earlier about how Nathaniel loved her.

When Freya returned to the Ocean Mansion, Ms. Lovette welcomed her with a smile and said, “Ms. Freya, the coffee Mr. Nathaniel ordered for you has arrived.”

Freya paused as she did not expect Nathaniel to mail the coffee to her. She nodded and it did not take long for Ms. Lovette to brew her a cup. She took a sip and it tasted slightly bitter, but she enjoyed it very much. She spent the next three days video calling Nathaniel whenever he was free. It almost felt like he was there to check in on her. Freya chuckled and wondered if he was that worried about her even though he had made Taylor keep an eye on her already.

She knew that not even Jacob would be able to free her since she was trapped in Nathaniel’s city. However, she stopped receiving any updates from Nathaniel. She did not receive a text, let alone video call her. She spent most of her time meeting Mandy since she had to work out the agreement with Andala Corp. SInce they were still employers and employees, they were able to meet each other quite often. Apparently, Freya had a lot of respect for Mandy, she had no idea how Sawyer met her, but she was very bright and professional at her job.
