“I need to send a report to the finance department and I remembered Koen letting me get it from your shelf. However, he just keeps following me like he’s trying to stop me from stealing! I thought you told me that I’m your assistant, then should Taylor be monitoring me so closely? It’s really annoying, you know?”
Nathaniel did not expect her to grow so much after the incident that happened three years ago. She knew how to complain to him, and her cute appearance was enough to make him stop breathing. He held back his laughter and pretended to cough as he said, “Tell Taylor to come pick up the call!”
Taylor dared not look at Freya’s taunting look and the moment he answered the call, he was severely reprimanded by Nathaniel. “Apologize to Freya and get out of my office now!” This stunned Taylor, as he gave her a half-baked apology before leaving the office.
Everyone in Nathaniel’s meeting were shocked because the Taylor they knew was an exceptionally good fighter. He was also quite reliable too. They could not believe that Nathaniel would yell at him for a woman. As Freya stared at Nathaniel, she did not expect him to take care of the problem this way. She was just trying to probe and test the waters, but she ended up getting Taylor reprimanded. As Nathanial stared at her stunned look, he thought that she looked quite stunning that way. “Your coffee will arrive at the Ocean Villa at noon today. Oh, and what else do you want? You can tell me.”
Freya was tempted to tell him that she wanted him dead, and wondered if she could say that to him. She replied, “That’s it. I just want to work freely and not be monitored by people. It’s just uncomfortable to me.” Freya took a deep breath and said, “Be careful… Mr. Nathaniel, I’ll leave you to your meeting then.”
He wondered if she was worried about him when she told him to be careful. He smirked and said, “Don’t worry, no one in the world can hurt me.”
He had always been confident in himself. After that, the call ended. Freya’s palms were covered in sweat as her head rang in panic. It was only when she calmed down that she realized that she had just told Nathaniel to be careful. She hated feeling this way as she slapped herself in her face. She should not be worried about him. She had no reason to spare him after she had gone through so much.
After rubbing her face, she booted up Nathaniel’s computer and was met with a password screen. Apparently, she knew that Nathaniel loved using her name as the pin and would always use the same one for all kinds of different accounts. That was because he was too busy and could not remember too many passwords. After that, she entered her name into the password screen.
Soon, the computer was unlocked. She was stunned when that happened as she wondered why he never got rid of that habit after three years. Freya felt uncomfortable as no normal person would use their ex’s names for anything after being separated for so long, let alone when they had such a strong feud with each other. Freya composed herself and started snooping around his computer. However, she found nothing. It was clean and the only thing in his computer was his company’s progress and plans, and reports. Nothing else.
