Barbara looked at her son on the hospital bed and, upon seeing Frey approach, could no longer contain herself. She lashed out.

Outside the ward, a commotion ensued. Despite the high-end single ward, other patients in the vicinity began recording the scene on their phones, posting videos online.

Hearing the commotion, Jacob, who had a head wrapped in medical gauze, staggered to the door. He was horrified to see his mother assaulting Frey.

"Frey!" Jacob cried out, his voice laced with fear as he rushed over and pulled Frey up, his face pale with distress.

"Mom! What are you doing? Mom! Stop it!" Jacob’s face flushed with anger as he shielded Frey.

He turned to the onlookers who were filming, shouting, "Stop recording! Get out!"

Seeing Jacob's fury, the spectators quickly retreated, though their excitement remained palpable.

Barbara's emotions were a little out of control. Recently, the Rivera family's stock had plummeted, and Jacob’s father had been living at the office, neglecting home and family. Barbara blamed Nathaniel for their woes, believing the Rivera family stood no chance against him.

She blamed Frey for this. "This woman is here to get revenge on you and Nathaniel!" she yelled. "She hates our family for buying out the Gomez family when it collapsed! You were the one who delivered the final blow!"
