The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret novel Chapter 294

After Nathaniel finished speaking, he hung up on Koen without waiting for a response. He set the phone down on the small table and suddenly wrapped his arms around Frey, who was squatting in front of him.

Frey was caught off guard, her body enveloped in his embrace. Her nose pressed against his chest, and she found herself overwhelmed, tears welling up.

“Nono, please stop this. Don’t make things difficult for me anymore!” Nathaniel pleaded, holding her so tightly she could barely breathe. His kisses were scattered over her face, and although Frey tried to push him away, he wouldn’t let go.

His body trembled slightly, and the lingering scent of burn treatment clung to him, making the air around them feel heavy. Just as Frey was struggling for breath, Nathaniel finally released her but still held her shoulders firmly.

He rested his forehead against hers and whispered, “The wedding between me and Abigail has been canceled. If you’re willing, we can go get a marriage certificate and have the biggest wedding in town.”

“I’m offering you everything I have. I only ask that you stay with me and stop doing foolish things.”

“When I saw you collapse in the fire, I nearly lost my mind. I really went crazy. Frey, please don’t put me through this. I can’t handle it.”

Frey’s heart raced. She wasn’t sure if it was Nathaniel’s vulnerability that moved her or if her own emotions were in turmoil.

Despite her reservations, Nathaniel insisted on staying at Frey’s apartment. She couldn’t understand why Nathaniel, with all his resources, chose her modest place.

“Mr. Nathaniel, this isn’t really suitable. There are no men’s items here, no bath products, no slippers…” Frey started, but Nathaniel interrupted by calling Koen to bring over his belongings.
