The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret novel Chapter 3

Nathaniel did not expect to see Freya again in this kind of place, and she was even disfigured.

He looked at her, and he felt depressed for no reason.

He raised his hand to pinch her cheeks, and he stared at her.

She was struggling aggressively, and she felt breathless. She wanted to push his hands away and protect her disfigured face.

He frowned for a while; he could feel that her hands were rough and even full of thick calluses. Her hair was short and messy, and her skinny face was full of fear.

He frowned even harder, and he asked mockingly, "Ms. Gomez, how are you doing?"

She was shaking, and her lips were trembling; she was overwhelmed by fears.

All of her hardships were caused by the man sitting in front of her; she hated him, yet she feared him more.

He stared at her coldly, and he asked, "Ms. Gomez, did you lose your ability to talk after three years?"

"Mr… Mr. Morgan!" She used all her strength to speak his name.

Her sound was hoarse and weird; his hand froze when he heard it. And then he let go of her and wiped his hands with a tissue as if his hand had touched something dirty.

The rest of the people were stunned looking at what happened; it seemed like Nathaniel knew this cleaner.

The door of the room was pushed open, and Jacob strode in. He wanted to say something to Nathaniel, his good friend. But then he was attracted by Freya, who was kneeling on the floor.

He was taken aback, and then he walked up to sit in the empty seat beside Nathaniel. And then he pulled Freya, who was kneeling on the floor.

"Hey, we're all old friends!" "Why are you kneeling down?"

She staggered, and she was dragged up by Jacob; her body was still shivering, and she thanked him.

Her voice made the face of the man in front of her darken.

All she wanted to do was escape; he knew that he was a devil, and she could not afford to enrage him.

She had to live! She would be dead by now if it were not for her coma-ridden mother and missing younger brother.

Sometimes living is more difficult than dying.

She gritted her teeth and forced herself to hold on.

She somehow thought that she was the one to be blamed for the downfall of the Gomez family.

Four years ago, she brought Nathaniel home, and her father said that Nathaniel was not a good man. And she did not listen to him; she cried and begged to marry Nathaniel.

Now, all she wanted was to stay away from him; she did not want to see him in her life anymore.

Her knees were in extreme pain, but she ignored it and took some steps back.

"Stand still!" Nathaniel spoke coldly.

She did not dare to move anymore; she held her breath as she looked at him.

"Nathaniel, just let it go," Jacob said with a smile to the side.

"Go out now!" Nathaniel's face crumpled.

Jacob was stunned, and he looked at the timid Freya. He moved his lips, but he did not know what else to say.

Nathaniel was best friends with him for years. Back then, the Rivera family was in trouble; Jacob was sent abroad to stay low, and he met Nathaniel in the Chinatown of Mypos. And they became best friends for life ever since.

He knew Nathaniel well, so he looked at Freya and got up.

"Everyone f*ck off!"

The rest of the people got up and left the room, one after another. Freya also wanted to follow them out, but the man in front of her was walking near her.

She wanted to back off subconsciously; he seemed so much more intimidating and aggressive than three years ago.

He glared at Freya deadly, and his gaze was as sharp as a knife.

Freya could not hold back, and she knelt down in front of him.

"Mr. Morgan, three years have passed."

He hasn't seen me in three years, and he's doing this to me now?

Just as I begged him to believe my innocence three years ago, but he did not believe that I didn't push Abigail.

Seeing this woman again, he actually panicked. No! I won't let anything or anyone affect me; she's a nobody to me!
