Chapter 36 It’s My Freedom 

The Rivera family’s business was grand, especially in their shipping line, 

Back then, the first son and the second son of the Rivera family held fifty percent of the shares each. The second son was Blake’s favorite, and he always attacked the first son, which was his big brother. At last, he targeted Jacob. 

If it were not for Blake, Jacob would have died from it. 

Charles and his wife knew that they were timid and did not deal with that incident properly. Jacob came back to Saeville after some time, and with the help of Nathaniel, their family regained this power. 

Jacob learned from his lesson, so he never put his money into the Rivera family’s bank account ever since he worked with Nathaniel as a business partner. He established his own company and cut himself off from the Rivera family. 

The Elders of the Rivera family were enraged, but they knew that Jacob was right; it was his money after all, and they could not control him on investing or withdrawing from anything. 

Blake closed his eyes and threw The Owl newspaper in front of Jacob. 

“You should see it yourself!” 

Jacob barely looked at the rumours in the news; he sneered and scanned through the news. He sat straight and glared at that page. 

The atmosphere was heavy in the living room. Blake looked at his carefree grandson and said, “A few years ago, we were overshadowed by the Gomez family.” 

“Killian did not show mercy to our family back then, and he even established his own shipping line to snatch our territory.” 

“Luckily, Nathaniel ganged up with us, and we managed to wipe out the Gomez family from Saeville.” Jacob gripped hard on the newspaper; he was furious for being secretly captured. 

Blake sighed and said, “Freya was a murderer some more!” 

“You can never marry her even though you like her!” 

Jacob’s face crumpled, and he answered, “I felt that she was cruel to Abigail back then, but did any of you see how she is now?” 

“Her father might be ruthless, but it’s not her fault to begin with!” 

“I feel that something is off with Abigail. I don’t like her. Her leg and hand are recovering, but what about Frey? She’s in a complete mess now!”
