Chapter 39 Is Love in the Air? 

It took less than half a day for the lawyer to negotiate the compensation amount with the man who was involved in the fight; Peyton was bailed out of the police station. 

She probably did not sleep well the previous night; she had dark circles underneath her eyes, and there were scratches on her forehead and lips.. 

Freya dashed toward her and held Peyton’s hands. 

Luckily, the scars on Peyton’s face were not deep, but her cheeks were swollen and it seemed like she was being pinned down and slapped. 

Freya was shaking from anger, and when she was about to say something, Jacob pulled her to the side.

Freya held Peyton’s hand and entered jacob’s car; Peyton was actually pretty close with Jacob recently.. And she knew that Freya asked for his help to bail her out smoothly. 

She insisted on treating him to a meal, as she was a sensible person.
