The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret novel Chapter 502

Michael gripped Freya's neck tightly and dragged her backward, yelling at Nathaniel, “Nathaniel! If you don’t want her to die, then stay away!”

Nathaniel’s gaze was cold and fixed on Freya, who was struggling against Michael’s hold. The sight was overwhelming, and he felt a surge of blood to his head, nearly causing him to faint.

The powerful recoil from his gun had reopened his wound, but he remained upright, his body tense and rigid. His emotions were at their breaking point, and he looked ready to snap.

His lips were pressed into a thin, straight line, his handsome features set in a chilling expression.

His grip on the gun tightened, his eyes red and almost as if they could bleed.

“Do you hear me?” Michael pressed the gun’s barrel hard against Freya’s temple, his voice laced with panic.

Nathaniel raised his hand to signal Koen to slowly move the boat away.

“Hold on! Are you in such a rush to go to the afterlife?” Sawyer, holding the unconscious Mason in the water, shouted in frustration.

The cold sea made it difficult for him to swim quickly while dragging Mason through the choppy waves. Seeing Nathaniel’s boat moving away only added to his anger.

Luckily, Koen waited for Sawyer, and he managed to get Mason onto the boat’s deck.

Hudson and others quickly helped Sawyer aboard, and Ozzy checked on Mason.

“He’s not in serious danger, but we need to get him warmed up immediately. He’s hypothermic and has a dislocated shoulder. Get him into the cabin.”

Hudson and the others awkwardly cared for Mason, who resembled Killian so much that Nathaniel felt conflicted.

Years ago, when Killian had dealt with the Morgan family, he was even younger than Mason. Now, Nathaniel was putting all his effort into saving the Gomez children. It was a dramatic turn of events.

Nathaniel often regretted not choosing a different method for seeking revenge on the Gomez family. He wouldn’t have used his charm to lure the Gomez heiress if he had known it would lead to this situation.

He had sought revenge but ended up paying a high price. Sometimes, emotions are confusing and hard to understand. At that moment, all he cared about was making sure Freya survived.

“Back off!” Michael was genuinely frantic as he saw speedboats encircling him from all directions, with even more approaching.

Was Nathaniel bringing an entire naval force just to rescue Freya?

Michael noticed that everyone on the speedboats was armed, and he remembered that Nathaniel had initially made his fortune dealing in arms.

If this had been in Saeville, Nathaniel wouldn't have been so bold. But being in the high seas, where Michael thought he could operate with impunity, had only made it easier for Nathaniel to target him.

Michael yelled, “Nathaniel! If you let me go today, I won’t cause any more trouble for your Mrs. Morgan!”

“Back off!!”
