The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret novel Chapter 503

Nobody expected Michael to be so despicable. He was a complete oportunist.

In a desperate move to evade Nathaniel’s pursuit, he callously shoved the unconscious Freya into the sea.

This act of treachery was beyond shocking.

Splash! Splash!

Sawyer and Nathaniel leaped into the water almost simultaneously, prompting a state of panic from Ozzy.

Was this some sort of reckless suicide mission?

Mr. Nathaniel had just undergone surgery, with his wounds in a critical condition. Yet he jumped into the icy waters without a second thought.

Was he trying to end his life early?

Ozzy was about to jump in himself but was pushed aside by Hudson.

“You’re a doctor! Stay out of this! If everyone’s dead, who will take care of the injured?” Hudson demanded.

Ozzy, pushed by Hudson, lost his balance and fell onto the deck as others began diving in.

Hudson and Koen followed suit, and soon everyone from Nathaniel’s and Sawyer’s teams was in the water.

The scene was almost comical, but no one found it amusing. The anxiety was palpable.

The two men risking their lives to save Freya were worth more than a small nation combined. Losing them was unthinkable.

If they perished, everything would be lost. While their underlings could be replaced, their leaders were irreplaceable.

Both Nathaniel and Sawyer were known for their care and generosity toward their underlings.

Freya found herself drifting into a distant dream, back at the Gomez family's old mansion from three years ago.

In the garden full of blooming tulips, she walked with her mother while her younger brother chased butterflies. Their pet dog frolicked around them, and she could see her father's study from the flowerbed.

Her father, wearing glasses, sat in a rocking chair on the balcony, reading.

Her mother would wave at him and ask, “Killian, what’s for dinner tonight?”

Her father would smile warmly at them, turn to call the maid, and instruct her to prepare Freya’s favorite dishes and a dessert she loved.

As Freya was about to request an extra soup, dark clouds rolled in, transforming the beautiful garden into a desolate wasteland.

Her mother and brother became skeletal remains, and her father, on the balcony, waved at her with a pained expression, shouting desperately, “Frey! Run! Daddy can’t hold on! Run away!!”

Freya ran wildly as the mansion collapsed, the earth shook, and torrential rain poured down.

She fell, her dress soaked, and banged on the door of the neighboring Morgan mansion.

When the door opened, Nathaniel stood there, holding a golf club with a cold expression.

He looked at her and said chillingly, “Freya, give her your hand! Is that okay?”

Freya was taken aback. Nathaniel was the one who had saved me?
