Chapter 53 Puppet 

Freya did not want to anger him, not at the moment at least. So, she was dragged to the dance floor by Nathaniel and this immediately drew everyone’s attention. Everyone was stunned when they noticed. the duo as they glanced back at the nearby Jacob. Their appearance also stunned Jacob’s business partners as they wondered just how his girlfriend could… 

No one would mind if their girlfriends were invited to dance with other people. However, things were different when it came to Nathaniel. This made Jacob wonder what Nathaniel was up to when he only left Freya for such a brief moment. Soon, they were met with Nathaniel’s intimate advances toward Freya. Apparently, his strong advances suffocated her and she felt like a puppet being puppeted by Nathaniel. 

Nathaniel was clenching her left arm tightly and it almost seemed like he was punishing her. She knew that he was furious when she felt the sharp pain. Nathaniel had full control over her and was leading the dance and since Freya was unable to keep up, she accidentally stepped on his foot. But he was not bothered by it as he placed her hand on his chest. No one knew that he was trembling when he did all 

of that. 

“Freya…” Nathaniel smiled. They were extremely close to each other at the moment and this reminded. them of when they were engaged to each other back then. Sadly, plenty of things happened and a lot of people had already forgotten that they were once a couple adored by everyone. Only Freya could hear the cruel and cold tone from his voice. “Don’t force my hand, Freya.” 

Hearing this stunned Freya. However, their dance were met with waves of applause when the music stopped. That was because Nathaniel had stopped dancing in the last three years. The last time he danced was during his engagement with Freya back then. Everyone was stunned by the couple back. then. They were surprised at how well Nathaniel was able to dance since he was known to be extremely serious. They had never seen such a wonderful performance before. However, they noticed that the duo seemed messy and out of sync then. They only clapped because Nathaniel was dancing. 

Abigail looked bitter when he watched them dance. She was extremely jealous of Freya as she could not get Nathaniel to fall for her no matter how hard she tried in the last three years. The only reason why he agreed to marry her was because she saved him. “Waiter!” Abigail screamed before slamming some bills on the waiter’s tray before whispering something into his ear. The waiter nodded and left soon after that/ 

“How are you feeling, Freya?” Jacob asked and noticed how cold Freya’s hand felt.
