Weeks had passed and Lauren and Keane's fake relationship was hitting off. They were spotted everywhere they went. Holding hands and laughing like a real couple did. Cody and Jack had long forgotten about their friends and were enjoying the newfound fame they had gotten.
A new girl was seen with them every single week, they changed them like tissue paper. Playing around and messing up with their hearts. There was a fight every week between the girls because of Jack and Cody but they didn't seem to care, at all.
“Keane." A brunette beautiful girl run to sit on his laps.
“Hey, baby sis." He ruffled her hair making her pout.
“Hi." She cheerfully greeted Lauren.
“Hello, I am Lauren, Keane's---"
"Girlfriend, I know. He talks of you non stop each and every day." Mildred teased making Lauren blush.
“Time to go no Mil," Keane added.
“Bye Keane, see you around Lauren." Mildred chuckled as she walked out.
“So?" Lauren asked as Keane blushed.
“Amelia?" Rita called to her friend who was walking alone to the bus stop. Lauren was with Keane and she had looked for Rita after school but she didn't find her so she decided to take the lead.
“Where have you been?" She asked her friend as she joined her.
“I-I was with Mathew." She whispered under her breath.
“ Excuse me, I didn't get that." Amelia pressed.
“I was with Mathew." She said as the bus arrived for them to climb.
“Wow, what did he say?" She asked happily for her friend.
“Well, he wanted us to hang this Friday after school." She blushed.
“That's awesome, have fun yah." She pinched her friend's cheek.
“I will, but you're coming with me, he asked me to come with you." She added.
“I ain't gonna be a third wheel, nah-uh, I'd rather watch Netflix and chill with my Nana." She told her friend.
“You won't be third-wheeling, besides Lauren would be there." Rita probed further.
“With Keane of course and you with Mathew, and I would be the odd one out. I really appreciate this baby girl, but I can't come with you guys." Amelia said with finality in her voice.
“Okay, but would you help me pick out a dress, please? You owe me that right?" Her friend pleaded.
“Okay, I'd come over tomorrow to help you pick out a dress, is that okay?" Amelia smiled.
“Thank you, see you tomorrow then," Rita said getting off the bus waving her friend.
Finally, he's been able to notice her. Amelia smiled to herself.
“Hi, Nana." Amelia greeted as she entered the kitchen.
“Sweetheart, how was school today?" Trudy asked her granddaughter.
“Quite eventful, Rita got asked out by her long time crush." She told pouring herself a glass of milk.
“Finally, Mathew asked her out?" Trudy inquired.
“Yes, yes he did, she wanted me to come with them since Lauren would be around but I don't want to be a third wheel, Nana." She confessed.
“What if you're not? You'd never know until you go." Trudy stated.
“I already told her I wasn't coming, I was going to stay in with you, we could watch Netflix and chill," Amelia suggested.
“Nope, you're gonna call her and tell her you've changed your mind. You my dear are going for the party and that's final." Trudy added with finality in her voice.
“Fine," Amelia grumbled taking her glass of milk and a plate of cookies upstairs.
Maybe it won't be as bad as I am imagining it. Amelia thought dialling Rita's number.
“Hey, girl," Rita answered.
“Hi, um, about the party Nana says I should go so, how about you come over tomorrow so we can prepare together," Amelia told.
“Yaaay, I love you, Nana Trudy!" Rita added on dramatically.
“Hahahahah, I'd see you at school tomorrow, wait is your car ready?" She remembered Rita's car had a fault that was why she took the bus with Amelia.
“Yeah, I just got it back a few minutes ago, I'd come pick you up tomorrow morning, make sure to wake up early sleepy head. You know I love you right?" She smiled.
