“ Why aren't you girls going for the fresher's bonfire night?" Keith barged into his girlfriend's and sisters room.
They had graduated a few months ago and enrolled in the same college as he and Lex.
“Because we just want to sleep in and catch up with lost time. We can attend other campus parties later, for this we're skipping." Sunny spoke up.
“It's your first party, go out and have fun. Don't be party poopers." He further probed.
“ What's special about this day anyway?" Hailey asked walking out of the kitchen with three plates of spaghetti bolognese.
“For starters, you get to meet new people and it's way better than sleeping in," Keith said taking a bite out of his food.
“Bottom line, there's just free booze and food, then a whole lot of people, making out and fucking themselves, we'll pass on this one," Sunny added making her best friend laugh.
“Fine, I'd give up, you girls are just a bunch of boring people." He dramatically rolled his eyes.
“Yes! It's K-drama and chill for us this night, you in babe?" Sunny asked knowing full well how he hated K-drama.
“Oh hell no!" he exclaimed making the girls burst into laughter.
“Hey, are you okay?" Val asked walking in on Nichole seated at the balcony sipping on a sex on the beach.
“I really don't know Val, I just feel as if something is missing within me. Those I trusted, those I loved talking to, laughed with, smiled with and even teased, they're living their lives happily, they've long forgotten that a Nicole once existed. You, you know something my friends never stay, they drift apart when I need them the most and after that, they blamed me for drifting apart." she voiced out.
“Are you sure they were friends at all? Maybe you took them as friends and they took you to be someone they know after they get what they want, that's a bye-bye. You're a wonderful person Nichole, don't look down on yourself. You have a huge heart. Just try to live your life and be you. Let those who have gone go, maybe those that are yet to come are far better than those who left." Val smiled at her friend.
“Thanks, Val, I appreciate you and your truthfulness." She grinned.
“Thanks, now get your ass up from that chair we have an event to attend in four hours." She reminded her as Nichole smacked her head while walking past her.
“Ouch, what was that for?" she rubbed her head.
“For not reminding me on time." she sashayed into the bathroom.
Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk.
“Noah, why are you making dinner?" Soraya glared at her cook.
“Babe, iI decided to, don't blame the poor woman. She was scared to let me but I assured her it was fine, isn't it?" he asked.
“No, no it isn't. I pay this, this lousy woman to cook for me, so why is she shirking her responsibilities?" her nose flared.
“Ma'am I ----
“Would you shut the fuck up?" she fumed.
