" Hey," Nurse Gina and Dr Lilly sat beside Miguel and May at the cafeteria.

“ Hi, what's up?" May asked them.

"Nothing much, I was just about leaving. I'd leave you ladies to catch up." Miguel said walking off.

“So?" Gina asked her friend.

“What?" May pretended not to understand what Gina was talking about.

" What's going on between both of you, May. Stop keeping us in suspense." Lilly rolled her eyes at her.

“ Nothing, we're just getting to know each other. That's it," she said truthfully.

“ You sure?" Gina asked.

" If something was going on between both of us, you girls would be the first to know," May said.

“I've been paged. I'd see you, girls, later." May walked off.

“ She's in denial." Lilly put.

" She sure is," Gina added laughing.

“ Hey, are you okay?" Mase placed his hand on her forehead. She was burning up.

“ We need to go see a doctor, Jackie. You're running a temperature," he stated.

She still didn't answer him. He shook her, but she wasn't moving nor opening her eyes.

Mase began to panic as he carried her bridal style down the staircase to the car.

Thank God she's fully dressed. She was wearing grey joggers and a big sweatshirt he had given her long ago.

He reached the hospital as they rushed her in to check what was wrong with her.

Please, please, please be alright. He silently prayed.

“Sir, sir?" the nurse tapped him in his shoulder waking him up. He hadn't realised the time he slept off.

“How's she?" he asked immediately wiping sleep off his face.

“She's fine, she just had a fever, that's what made her pass out." the doctor explained.

"Can I go see her now?" he inquired.

"Of course you can, let me show you the way." she lead him.

Thank goodness she's fine.

You like her. His conscience teased.

Shut up, I don't besides she likes someone else. he argued.

Poor confused man-child. His conscience shaded as he entered the ward.
