The Queen Returns—And She's Unforgiving novel Chapter 224

Graham pushed up his glasses, and his gaze landed on Lucas. He let out a barely audible snort.

Without any explanation, he turned and walked away.

As he passed by Evelyn, Graham frowned in displeasure, tinged with regret and heartache.

She gave up her academic future to marry a man, only to be betrayed so thoroughly. Her husband was lavishing his affections on another woman right in front of her!

The past three years of her youth had been wasted for nothing.

Evelyn shrank back slightly, suddenly feeling a little guilty.

Brandon did not miss the look Graham gave Evelyn. It almost seemed like disgust.

A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips, as if he had expected that.

After Graham walked away, Brandon and the others headed over.

Everyone turned to Sebastian with curiosity. "Mr. Hill, do you know what's going on? Does Professor Hill really already have someone else in mind? Could you give us a hint?"

If Graham really had his eye on some prodigy, it would be good to get in touch with them early. It would be best to get them to join their own company.

Tiffany furrowed her brow and turned to Sebastian for answers as well.

She, too, was curious. Who else out there could possibly be that good?

Sebastian raised a brow, his smile inscrutable. "On this, you'll find out soon enough."

Naturally, he had no intention of revealing anything.

The examinations had not been officially set yet, so there was no point in causing a commotion. Besides, if he had mentioned Evelyn now, the crowd's response would likely not have been positive.

It was better to wait until everything was in place and let actions speak for themselves.

Everyone could tell that Sebastian was holding back.

Lucas did not seem concerned and glanced at Tiffany, who was lost in thought. He handed her a glass of wine and said casually, "Take it slow. Nothing's been decided yet."

His reassurance made her smile. "I know."

She understood that someone like Graham, who stood at the top, would naturally be strict and harsh. Next time, she would prove herself and leave no room for criticism.
