The Queen Returns—And She's Unforgiving novel Chapter 260

Lucas simply looked at Evelyn in the silence. His eyes betrayed no emotion whatsoever, and there was a hint of coldness in the air.

Evelyn had said what she came to say, and she had no intention of lingering. As such, she turned and left. She didn't so much as blink as she walked past Tiffany without glancing at her.

Tiffany couldn't help but furrow her brows. She didn't know what Evelyn had come for.

However, after quickly sorting through her thoughts, she wondered whether it was because Lucas accidentally saved Evelyn when he was at the Millers. Did this give Evelyn the illusion that she could salvage their relationship?

She didn't like Evelyn's self-righteousness, especially since Evelyn had an ambiguous relationship with Sebastian.

Could it be that, after weighing her options, she decided Lucas was the better choice?

Still, Tiffany didn't let any of that show, nor did she ask Evelyn what she came for, since she knew it would be pointless.

She walked to the bed and threw the cheap breakfast Evelyn brought for Lucas into the trash, thinking she naturally had the right to do so.

Then, she poured Lucas a glass of water. "Have some water, Lucas."

Lucas didn't even glance away, paying no attention to the lonely container now sitting in the trash can.

Tiffany's brow was raised slightly, her expression unchanged. She had expected this. Just as she thought, Evelyn was nothing but a stain in Lucas' life—useless and extremely annoying.

Otherwise, how could Evelyn's years beside him not compare to the mere months Tiffany had?

Lucas' kindness toward her was something Evelyn could only dream of.

Evelyn had the day off.
