"That's it!" She exclaims. Without hesitation she walks away, wondering if Nathaniel already knows that she is gone. A smile creeps on her face as his face flashes through her mind.
Even though she was disappointed that he didn't trust her, Alexandra could stop thinking about him. He filled her mind even when she didn't want him to. Going to rescue her relations alone may not be the best thing to do since Alexandra was already aware that the Guerrero pack must have made Adam the Alpha which meant that he could command the guards to capture her and probably kill him unjustly.
She couldn't leave her relations to die for something they know nothing about. This wasn't their battle and she wasn't going to let them drag any more innocent people into their fight.
As memories of Adam and Olivia attacking her In the woods invade her mind, she halts turning around the lonely road, a part of her wanted her to run back into his arms and forget about her revenge. It was a truce, they killed her and she has gotten her revenge by having Veronica murdered.
But Alexandra couldn't do that, knowing how Adam and Olivia's minds worked, she was certain that they wouldn't want to end this, it would end if one of them dies. They already made that clear when he slandered her name across the region.
Running her hand through her face, she drops her gaze and looks forward, Adam could have just made himself the Alpha, faked her death, and led the pack but he choose to declare war on her even in her presence and she just couldn't turn a blind eye and act as though they would want to call a truce.
Deep down, Alexandra knew that even though Adam agrees to call a truce, he would demand that she gives up her position and she couldn't do that. Being the Alpha meant a lot to her, it was the greatest thing she had come to achieve despite everything they did to her. And as for Olivia, her jealousy would never let her call a truce, the only thing that would ease what she felt was Alexandra's corpse.
The metallic taste of her blood splashing on her tongue when she kills her would ease her hatred but it would never make up for what Alexandra did to her mother.
"Those two would never want a truce and neither do I" she clenches her jaw.
Staying next to Nathaniel may make her happy but getting her revenge would make her happier and ease the pain inflicted on her by them.
"Goodbye Nathaniel" Alexandra walks forward, not sure they would ever see each other again.
