Chapter 100 

Madeline did not have high expectations for the casting at first. 

After all, her relationship with Yohannes wasn’t strong enough for the latter to do something like that for her. 

It required money or connections, and there were many other things to consider..

Madeline Rot out of the car and saw no decorations at the entrance.

Gavin walked behind Madeline, strolling leisurely into the mansion. 

Yulissa and Hazel were busy in the kitchen. 

Knowing that Madeline was coming that day, they had gotten up early to prepare a sumptuous meal. 

When it was just Caleb in the past, he would not intentionally decorate the mansion for Thanksgiving and he might not even go there at all.

Yulissa answered without hesitation, “Of course. It must be because Ms. Larson likes it. I have prepared a lot of cranberries. I am sure we can make a lot of cranberry plecakens.”

They were both very busy in the kitchen. The beautifully baked piecakens were removed from the oven and placed on a plate while still hot. 

Suddenly, there was a sound outside. 

When Hazel looked out she noticed Madeline had returned. 

She rushed out with a plate of piecaken, saying, “Ms. Larson, you are back. Enjoy some piecakens while they are still hot. These plecakens are best eaten while still hot 

Madeline sat on the

Gavin quickly pulled her hand back. “You fool. They are still far too hot to be consumed.” 

Madeline gently touched it with her fingertips and discovered that it was indeed too hot. 

Hazel felt a bit apologetic. “Ms. Larson, I just took them out of the oven. Let me cut them into smaller pieces for you!”

Hearing that, Madeline waved her hand. “It is fine. I will blow on it before eating. You guys carry on with your daily activities. There is need to be concerned about me.” 

Hazel smiled cheerfully. “Okay, Ms. Larson. Please take a seat here. If you need anything, just call me.” 

“Wait a minute. Where are Caleb and Nolan? How come I have not seen them at home?” 

“They will return around noon for lunch. I am not exactly sure where they went.” Hazel quickly changed the topic. “Ms. Larson, do you prefer smoked turkey or roasted turkey?” 

“Either is fine, Madeline replied. 

“Then let us make a roasted turkey with chestnut stuffing. The chestnuts delivered today are the freshest. They are extremely soft and 

sweet!” 

As they were conversing, Yulissa brought over a plate of roasted chestnuts and said, “Ms. Larson, this is roasted chestnuts. Please try some. They came from a chestnut tree in the mansion’s corner. The gardener brought them over this morning” 

“They were from the mansion?” Madeline was interested and picked one up to eat. 

It was sweet and 

fragrant.
