Ian was not exasperated; he was just quite surprised. He had always thought that Naomi and Cindy were quite carefree and easygoing, but he apparently just realized that it was not the case.

Cindy was the only carefree one.

After a few seconds of silence, he replied, “Of course I’ve planned for the future. It is true that I should consider settling down at my age and having a family. However, just as what you have said, we have to follow the rules of this industry. We have no choice but to wait for certain matters.”

She quickly concurred. “Exactly. Some things just can’t be settled now.”

Then, she looked at the current situation from another perspective. “Now that Ian is famous, he can bring more dough. We should definitely take this opportunity to earn more. Everyone wants to settle down, but money is the deciding factor. It’s obvious that we have to earn enough first.”

In less than three sentences, Cindy had touched on one of her most prominent traits, which rendered Naomi speechless after a moment of surprise.

Cindy’s reply actually matches her personality as she is a person who loves money. Now that her boyfriend has such a good opportunity to earn a lot, of course she won’t stand in his way and block his path to wealth.

Nevertheless, Naomi still looked at Ian and seriously advised, “Cindy is a simple and pure person. To be honest, the entertainment industry doesn’t suit her. It’s because of you that she has sacrificed so much and even gave up her profession. So, I hope you will treat her well.”

Naomi also approached them and sat on the couch. “Now that Ian’s schedule isn’t that packed, what have you guys been doing at home for the entire day? Do you just chill everyday? If so, you have such an easy life.”

Cindy thought about it and realized that Naomi’s words were indeed true.

Since Ian’s schedule was less packed, her life was now much easier.

Even working from nine to five wasn’t as easy as her current life.

Cindy smiled as she took a blanket to cover Aurora. “So, you should find a man soon. It’s different when you have someone to take care of you.”

Naomi glared. “See what she’s saying! After having a boyfriend, you have more confidence. I shouldn’t have worried so much about you.”

Cindy chuckled and scooted over to snuggle up in Naomi’s arms. “I’m also worrying about you now. If someone is around to take care of you, you will have an easier life and I’ll be more relieved.”

“I should thank you then,” Naomi snorted.

Meanwhile, Ian merely sat at the dining table without heading toward the women. He just watched them three seated on the couch.

His phone rang after around two minutes.

When he took his device out to have a look, he saw that the caller was Hannah.

He quickly stood up and returned to his room. It was only after he closed the door that he answered, “Miss Jones.”

Hannah hummed in reply before saying, “Are you busy? Did I interrupt something?”

Ian’s voice was quite amicable. “It’s fine. What’s up?”

With a lazy tone, she continued speaking, “So, this is what happened—our company has received an invitation from a production company. Because of the huge event that previously happened, you are now quite famous. Many companies think that this is an opportunity and want to invite you and Cindy to participate in reality shows for couples. Our company has agreed to their requests and I would like to inform you about this.”
