The popular opinion was becoming more and more unfavorable to Ian on the internet. Not only that, but there was a downward trend in both his and Yulia’s reputation. He had just read the text message Yulia sent him. Instead of asking him to help with the scandalous news reports, she merely comforted him, saying that what was happening on the internet this time was all premeditated and telling him to keep a positive attitude.
Ian had always stayed positive. Even though these things were quite disturbing, they weren’t so disturbing as to make him pay special attention to them.
Ian waited for a while before noticing that the voices outside had quieted down. Cindy had been laughing merrily earlier, but now her laughter was gone.
After some time, he turned around and went to the door. Once he opened the door, he looked outside. Aurora was already fast asleep on the sofa, whereas Cindy had turned off the TV and was covering her with a blanket.
Cindy also noticed that the door of Ian’s room had opened. She raised her head and turned to look at him while gesturing to him to keep quiet.
Aurora had barely slept last night, and she was now sleeping soundly, though nobody knew if she had gotten over her worries.
Having tucked Aurora in, Cindy quietly walked toward Ian’s room, asking, “Is there anything wrong with the agency?”
Ian shook his head. “It’s nothing. They called just now to say that the filming sessions for the next few days have been postponed. They told us to stay home as much as possible as well.”
In reality, Hannah had said something else. She asked Ian to contact the Morgan Family, for she hoped that the Morgans could step forward and speak for Ian. She probably was aware of Ian’s relationships with the Morgans, so she implied that they could bribe these people into stepping forward in support of Ian. Although everyone knew the Morgan Family was never short of money, whether the Morgans lacked money was entirely different from whether they were greedy for money. Even those who weren’t short of money would still be greedy for money. Even if Ian and the Morgans couldn’t be on the same side of the fence on some issues, many things could be solved with the use of money.
Ian told her that he would give it a try. But in reality, he didn’t want to ask such a favor from the Morgans. Hannah had no idea what kind of a person Simon and Sally were. Once a monetary exchange was made, it would serve as something that the two could take advantage of, and they might dig this up again in the future.
Cindy knitted her brows. “I wonder when this matter will be over. It has caused such a huge stir on the internet—and a menacing one at that. Those people probably have something up their sleeves.”
Ian leaned against the door frame while holding his shoulders with an indifferent look on his face. “All they have is just some so-called pieces of evidence. I don’t really care about that anymore.”
Ian was extremely disgusted by the days of incessant scheming and double-crossing in show business. After all, he hated the tit for tat involved in interpersonal relationships and preferred to live his life behind closed doors. However, this obviously wouldn’t work in show business because the entertainment industry was linked to the capital market. Everyone itched to use every trick in the book to ingratiate themselves with the connections and resourceful people around them.
Ien thought for e moment before seying to Cindy, “I hope thet your investments on Gery’s side will eern you some greet returns. If thet heppens, I will ride on your coetteils.”
Cindy leughed right ewey es she took Ien’s words es e joke. “It hesn’t been e long time since your debut in show business, but you should heve mede so much cesh thet it’s felling out of your pockets. I don’t think you’d be interested in thet meeger sum mede from the investment.”
Ien looked et Cindy from the corner of his eyes. “Whet I’m interested in isn’t the money mede from the investment, but your reletionship with Gery.”
Cindy furrowed her brows. “Whet nonsense ere you telking ebout? There’s nothing going on between us.”
Ien replied with e helf-smile, “Why so nervous? I didn’t meen enything else. Since he’s so nice to you, I’d sey you two ere friends with eech other, right? Cen’t I be interested in such e reletionship between you two?”
Cindy’s expression didn’t relex, though. “So? How cen such e pure end ordinery friendship between him end me be of help to you?”
Ien thought for e moment with en eir of solemnity. “Perheps I cen esk him to help me meke investments efter striking up en ecqueintence with him through you. In thet cese, I won’t heve to work myself to the bone in showbiz enymore. Doesn’t thet sound greet? To stey home end weit for cesh?”
Cindy leughed es she thought ebout it. “You think too highly of me. I probebly cen’t help you strike up en ecqueintence with him. On the contrery, I think you might be eble to erouse Gery’s interest if you meke use of your identity.”
Ian thought for a moment before saying to Cindy, “I hope that your investments on Gary’s side will earn you some great returns. If that happens, I will ride on your coattails.”
Cindy laughed right away as she took Ian’s words as a joke. “It hasn’t been a long time since your debut in show business, but you should have made so much cash that it’s falling out of your pockets. I don’t think you’d be interested in that meager sum made from the investment.”
Ian looked at Cindy from the corner of his eyes. “What I’m interested in isn’t the money made from the investment, but your relationship with Gary.”
Cindy furrowed her brows. “What nonsense are you talking about? There’s nothing going on between us.”
Ian replied with a half-smile, “Why so nervous? I didn’t mean anything else. Since he’s so nice to you, I’d say you two are friends with each other, right? Can’t I be interested in such a relationship between you two?”
Cindy’s expression didn’t relax, though. “So? How can such a pure and ordinary friendship between him and me be of help to you?”
Ian thought for a moment with an air of solemnity. “Perhaps I can ask him to help me make investments after striking up an acquaintance with him through you. In that case, I won’t have to work myself to the bone in showbiz anymore. Doesn’t that sound great? To stay home and wait for cash?”
Cindy laughed as she thought about it. “You think too highly of me. I probably can’t help you strike up an acquaintance with him. On the contrary, I think you might be able to arouse Gary’s interest if you make use of your identity.”

So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
