Chapter 1628 Here Too Early

Ian even thought about taking Cindy home and cooking for her.

In the end, he still settled on going to a restaurant as he didn’t know how to cook after all. He shouldn’t expect her to be cooking right after her arrival.

After considering the mess of ideas, he finally took action and forwarded the picture to his own phone. Then, he placed Aurora’s phone on the kitchen counter.

He walked over to the couch and sat down before he looked at the screenshot on his own phone. She didn’t even think of informing me! If Mom hadn’t asked her, would she have called me only after she arrived?

Ian never thought that Cindy would be so stubborn; she was always a gentle and amicable person to him. It merely made him realize that he had the wrong idea of her from the very start.

Then, he navigated to Facebook and checked her page where there were no new posts recently.

He held his phone in his hand, waiting for Cindy to message him. At this moment, breakfast was ready, so he went to eat. In the end, however, he never received any updates from her even after breakfast.

In terms of perseverance, Cindy could have been better than Ian because he couldn’t stand it anymore. He sent her a message, feigning ignorance as he asked her when she was arriving.

It was almost time for her to board the flight.

If she still refused to say anything, then she really was planning to call him only after she arrived.

Cindy’s reply came almost instantly. Her message read, ‘I sent Mrs. Morgan a message, right? Didn’t she tell you?’

Good. You’re damn good. Ian was almost impressed. So, this is your plan. How smart.

He didn’t send any messages after that. Instead, he was so pissed that he deleted their text history.

Even though he was so eager and passionate, what was it for? She didn’t care about it.

Aurora didn’t know about the tension that arose between Ian and Cindy. She merely returned to her room for a change of clothes before she came out and sat on the couch. She was all ready to pick Cindy up from the airport.

Ian turned to look at his mother. “I remember the time when you didn’t quite like her at first. Look at you now, you’re like a completely different person!”

Aurora nodded. “I really didn’t like her at first. I thought she’d be somewhat cunning based on her background, but after spending time with her, I realized I was wrong. She is a simple girl and different from her peers. I can say for sure that you can’t find another girl like Cindy in the entire entertainment industry.”

When he heard what she said, he secretly smiled. A simple girl? She has only spent so much time with Cindy and she can already say for sure that Cindy is simple?

Ian had also once thought that Cindy was innocent and straightforward, and maybe even a little dumb.

However, after what had happened earlier, he felt that perhaps she wasn’t quite as simple as she appeared to be.

She had numerous thoughts and plans running in her head; she just didn’t show it.

After another while of waiting, Aurora couldn’t sit still anymore. She wanted to get to the airport as soon as possible to wait for Cindy.

Ian frowned before he looked at the time. “You don’t have to. It’s still early, see?”

Aurora couldn’t care less. “We’re ready to go now and there’s nothing left to do at home. Let’s just wait at the airport since it’s busier and more fun there too.”

It wasn’t a bad excuse, so he didn’t bother to retort as he got ready to leave.

Logan had arranged a car for Ian so that he could move around with more convenience. Hence, he drove to the airport with Aurora.

They took the highway, so they weren’t caught by the traffic congestion. When they arrived at the airport, they still had to wait for another hour before the plane landed.

Ian was a little helpless as he turned to look at Aurora. “I told you that we came too early. Look at how long we have to wait here!”

She had no care for that. “So what? It’s still the same even if we waited at home. Tell me, is it any different?”

Aurora was someone who would always have a bunch of excuses.

He walked a lap around the airport with his mother before she complained, “I can’t believe there aren’t any seats here! Do they expect us to stand and wait for a whole hour?”
