Laughing for a moment, Ian replied, "Who can match up to you? Young Master Jefferson, you only need to glare, and others will be shaking in their boots. Naturally, you can afford to be fearless."
After all, most people could not match up to Logan because Logan’s unique family background afforded him his frank and open nature. It was completely because of a strong backing that he did not need to care about anything much.
Sighing, Logan tried to persuade Ian. "No, no, no. It’s not about anything else but your own heart. You carry such a heavy burden in it. When it comes to relationships, what matters is your character. Do you know how much Lola used to despise me? Even with my family status, she did not give a d*mn about me. The reason why she finally agreed to marry me was that I really opened up to her and licked her boots like a dog. Therefore, the reason why men and women get along really has nothing to do with their status or background. Ian, why are you still not clear about this?”
Ian was now feeling quite confused in his heart, so he chose not to focus on what Logan was saying. He was full of thoughts about how to solve the issue tonight and the subsequent nights while Cindy was here.
When Logan realized that Ian was not planning on saying anything, he sighed. “I know since long ago that you’re an obstinate mule, but I did not expect that when it comes to such a matter, you are still so stubborn. Relationship matters and other things are not the same, so you have to go out of your way to be bold. You won’t be able to get along if you remain so sensitive.”
Ian rubbed his face and replied, "Okay, I got it. You’re giving me a lesson here as if you understand everything.”
Once Logan heard Ian say so, he immediately laughed aloud. "You’re right, but I feel that I’m considered an experienced man when compared to you, so I want to share some of my insights with you.”
Then Ian turned his head to look at the door. "My situation is a bit complicated, and there are some parts that you guys still don’t understand. Anyway, I guess I’ll have to solve it myself."
This was also true; after all, each person handles their own relationship matters differently. Others could only give superficial advice, and resolution still had to come from those involved.
Logan thought about it and said, "Okay, then let’s meet up tomorrow night. Do you prefer the clubhouse or somewhere else?"
Ian exhaled before replying, "Let’s go somewhere else. I'll be the host,as I want to formally treat you guys to a meal."
Logan grunted. "Okay, as you wish. Notify me the specific time and place later then."
Soon, he hung up, and Ian put away his phone. After a moment’s hesitation, he went to sit by the bed. He really didn't know what to say if he went out to face Cindy.
Therefore, he sat for a while until Aurora came over and knocked on the door, saying that she wanted to go shopping with Cindy and asked Ian to go together with them. Frowning, Ian was about to reflexively refuse when he caught himself and swallowed back his words.
Then he got up and opened the door. "Where are you guys going shopping?"
Aurora had not thought of somewhere specific, so she said, “We’ll just go out first and decide where exactly later. After all, we have a lot of time, right?”
Hearing that, Ian glanced at Cindy sitting on the sofa out of the corner of his eye. Cindy did not look at him but sat upright in a stiff posture with her head down, looking a little bit like a good student.
For some reason, seeing Cindy like this, Ian wanted to laugh a little. When he was hiding away in his room, he had felt very complicated and upset, but now on seeing her, he thought that things were not so bad after all. Thus, he said, "Okay, let's go then."
Without covering up much, Ian just put on a hat and followed Cindy and Aurora out together. Feeling very pleased, Aurora chatted to Cindy all the way as they walked on foot out of the neighborhood without a destination in mind.
Soon, Aurora asked Cindy how things were going over at the latter’s home.
Apparently, Aurora wanted to pay a visit when she had the time.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
