In Ian’s room? No. “I’m not sleepy. Not sleepy at all.”
Aurora chuckled and laid back on the couch. “I’ll watch some TV. You get some sleep. I’ll be fine by myself.”
Cindy smiled bitterly. I’d love to, but I can’t go in there.
Aurora left Cindy to her own devices and turned her attention to the TV.
Cindy was feeling dizzy. She didn’t sleep well to begin with, and she was tired after the morning’s shopping. She needed rest, but she couldn’t go into the room. Left with no choice, she tried her best to stay awake and watch the TV with Aurora. However, her exhaustion caught up to her shortly after, and she fell asleep.
When Cindy wasn’t moving around anymore, Aurora looked at her and sighed. She went to her room to take a blanket and cover Cindy up. After sitting on the couch for a while more, Aurora turned the TV off and knocked on Ian’s door.
Ian woke up immediately this time. “What is it?”
Aurora whispered, “She’s asleep on the couch. I told her to sleep in your room but she said no. You can’t just leave her out there.” Before Ian could say anything, she continued, “I’m exhausted from all the shopping, so I’m going to bed too. You know what to do.” She went back to her room and deliberately closed her door slightly louder than she would. Ian heard it.
He slowly sat up. He didn’t feel as awful now that he had some sleep, so he got out of bed and opened the door.
Cindy was sleeping on the couch with a blanket covering her. However, she was obviously sleeping in an uncomfortable position.
Ian went over and stared at her. How did we get to this point? Neither of us gets anything out of this. He waited for a moment before going over to whisper, “Hey, wake up. The room’s yours.”
Cindy didn’t even stir. She was too exhausted.
Ian’s brows furrowed. A moment later, he tapped her shoulder. “Hey, wake up. Can you hear me?”
Still no response from her.
He slowly pulled his hand back, hesitating if he should do it. She’s probably really exhausted. She didn’t make a sound the night before, but he had a feeling she didn’t sleep well either. After all, she was sharing a room with a guy. There was no way she could have slept soundly.
Ian put his hands on his hips and looked around, especially at his mother’s room. She must be asleep, for he didn’t hear anything at all. Ian took a deep breath and picked Cindy up. She must be truly exhausted because she didn’t even wake up from that.
Ian took every step as carefully as he could. It was a short trip back to the room, but Ian took a long time before he finally arrived at the bed. Cindy murmured something under her breath, but she didn’t wake up. All she did was roll over.
Ian heaved a sigh of relief. Since Cindy was there, he couldn’t be in the room anymore. After tucking her in, he went to lie on the couch, but he couldn’t sleep anymore. Ian crossed his legs and lay there for a few minutes, but then he sat up after remembering something.
He went to the porch and took the gift box meant for Cindy. Ian tore it open easily and took the racket out for a little swing, but it didn’t take long for him to scoff. This isn’t worth jack at all. And they made a fuss just because of this? Man, they know nothing about rackets if they think this costs a lot of money.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
