The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1745

Chapter 1745 To the Hospital

Aurora was surprised to hear that. “Now? I thought we were going in the afternoon. I’m still not ready.”

Ian walked over and looked closely at his mother. “This one is nice enough; better than the ones you wore earlier. You look absolutely shimmering. Let’s go with this one. It’s good enough.”

Aurora was still hesitant. “Is this one fine? Does this make me look pale?”

“No. You look positively glowing,” Ian quickly praised her, then he gave Cindy a look that said, “Change your clothes”.

Cindy trotted back to their bedroom. Ian didn’t have to change, but he took a jacket with him.

Since Cindy was already changing in her room, Aurora quickly went to the bathroom to put some makeup on. She took her own sweet time, and she still wasn’t done even after Cindy came back out. Cindy sat beside Ian and waited for Aurora. Aurora came back out looking all formal, as if she was going to an interview.

Cindy and Ian wanted to laugh, but they didn’t want to tease Aurora about it. So, they played along and praised her outfit, saying it looked great.

They went out, and Ian called the company on the way to the hospital. It was then he found out they had already arranged a few staff members to wait outside the hospital.

Then he called Sean to tell him about the change in schedule.

Sean had just arrived at the company, and he was surprised that Ian was going to the hospital right now. “Now? But I thought you’re only going in the afternoon.”

Ian sighed. “Change of plans. I had to move this to an earlier slot.”

Sean hesitated for a moment before saying, “Give me a minute when you guys get to the hospital. I’m coming over right now. It will be better if we show up together.”

Sean had a point, and Ian wanted him to show up together as well. After all, Sean was controlling the whole of the Morgans’ company. He was the most powerful man in the family now, and if he showed up together with Ian, it’d help with Ian’s reputation.

Ian hung up and went straight to the hospital. However, they did not get out of the car immediately after they arrived at the car park.

Aurora leaned against the window, staring outside. “Why aren’t we going yet? What are we waiting for?”

Ian killed the engine and leaned back on his seat. “Sean. He says he’s coming over.”

Aurora nodded. “That’s good to hear.” She retracted her gaze and straightened her clothes out. “Would it look ugly if I get into a fight with him once we meet?”

Aurora was just acting tough, and Ian and Cindy knew it. She had spent a lot of time dolling herself up, so even if she and Bryce didn’t have a nice conversation, she wouldn’t get into a fight with him.

Cindy played along. “Don’t. You look gorgeous today, and elegant too. It’d ruin your look if you hit him.”

Aurora heaved a long, long sigh, and she nodded. “You have a point. I’ll let him get away this time.”

Cindy and Ian smiled, but they said nothing.

Sean arrived a while later. Ian talked to him on the phone and agreed to meet him at the warding area’s entrance.

Sean looked at Aurora and smiled. “You look great, Aurora.”

Aurora felt embarrassed for some reason. She flicked her hair back and told him, “I dressed up. I have to look good on this visit after all.”

Sean knew Aurora was just trying to look her best so Bryce would regret dumping her back then. He commented nothing on that and simply nodded. “You do look good.”

They went into the elevator and headed for Bryce’s ward. The men were standing in the front, while the ladies stood behind them.
