The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1827

Chapter 1827 We’re Home

Sean sighed. "I'm actually not very comfortable selling the place I've lived in for so long, but I think I'll never go back there anyway."

Aurora couldn’t help but turn her head to look at Sally. "Then what will your mother and the others do next?"

When talking about Leah, Sally had nothing to cover up, so she said at once, "My mother should have enough money for the rest of her life. If she watches her spending, she can probably support Simon for the rest of his life too."

They all knew that Leah had some money, but they didn't know how much. She had been by Bryce's side for so many years, so it was impossible for her not to pilfer from him all this time.

Aurora nodded and said, "Good for her, I guess."

Sally hesitated for a while before saying, "I've booked a flight ticket too, and I plan to travel a few days later. I'm not sure where I'm going to settle down, but I'll see. I just want to travel and check out other places like Ian.”

Ian was a little surprised. "Are you going alone?"

Sally nodded. "It's just me." She looked at Ian and asked, "I really want to know where you have been before. Which place is better?"

For Sally's question, Ian couldn't give her an accurate answer. He did go to a lot of places before, but he couldn't tell her where was best. It was the same everywhere—all those places had locals who had gotten bored with their hometowns.

So, he smiled and said, "In fact, nowhere is as good as home. You have been living well here in your hometown, and there is no need to go to other places."

Only when one could not be happy at home would one think of going elsewhere. However, Sally shook her head. "Actually, I'm not doing well. It's just an appearance I put up."

She was only wealthy in the material sense, but she was actually very empty inside. In retrospect, she did not really know what meaningful things she had ever done in the past.

Ian didn't talk too much with Sean and Sally. The timing of their arrival was very accurate, and the three had to go through a security check and board the plane in just a few minutes. So, Sean and Sally did not need to stay for a long time. They then bid Ian and the others farewell at the security checkpoint.

After passing security, Aurora looked back and sighed. "At this last moment, I finally feel better."

Cindy went over and took her arm. "There must be good and bad in every city."

After the security check, they boarded the plane. In just a moment, the plane took off. Cindy leaned back in her chair and looked outside through the window next to her. There was nothing special to see in the sky, but her heart finally calmed down. As for Ian, he was obviously in a much better mood than before. He took Cindy's hand and pinched her fingers gently.

Cindy closed her eyes and wanted to nap for a while, but she still opened her mouth to say, "Did you tell the company the flight’s time?"

Ian replied, "Yes, but I told them we have to rest today, so they should not come to pick us up."

Cindy felt better that nobody would come to pick them up because she felt a little guilty to see people in the company after her relationship with Ian changed.

She didn't get up very early in the morning, but because she slept late yesterday, she was already sleepy at this time. Thus, she slept almost all the way. She wasn't very used to flying, and even though she had flown with Ian before, she felt frightened every time she got on the plane. Therefore, she subconsciously wanted to escape by sleeping all the way.

When the plane landed, Cindy woke up, stretched, and said, "Finally, we’re home."

Her words made Ian feel very content. It’s our home.

After waiting for the plane to stop, Ian started to tidy up. Following the crowd, they got off the plane, and then they went to pick up their luggage. However, when they came through the exit, Cindy was stunned at whom she saw.

Is that… Yulia? Why is she here to pick us up?
