Yulia mostly talked about work with Ian. Cindy knew that, of course, so even if she was furious inside, she couldn’t find a good reason to get mad at Yulia.
Yulia never talked about anything other than proper matters, so Cindy felt that she was being too sensitive and doubtful. Ian replied, “I’m not too sure about that, but my mother is probably coming with me, so she might not have the time. I’ll have to ask her about it.”
Yulia smiled. “I’m calling you because I don’t have her number; I would’ve asked her myself otherwise. Why don’t you ask her and give me a reply as soon as possible? I’ll see what my friend thinks about that.”
Yulia’s friend was definitely a high-ranking person too. She was the sort of person who was friends with the bigshots, so the resources on her hands would definitely be top quality as well.
Cindy was also a little hesitant. If they refused the resources from Yulia, Aurora might have to sidetrack a little more.
Sometimes, with enough resources, one could rise to popularity or clear their name overnight. Yulia didn’t say too much over the phone, and she hung up after relaying the important matters.
Ian stared at the disconnected call on his phone, then looked up at Cindy. “I’ll find some time to discuss with Mom. If worse comes to worst, I’ll have Mom visit Yulia herself tomorrow.”
Because Yulia was being sensible and serious over the phone, Cindy subconsciously felt that she didn’t have to get so worked up over Yulia.
Perhaps Yulia did have feelings for Ian, but since they were talking business, Cindy felt that she should still let Yulia say her piece. Cindy suppressed the upset feeling inside her as she said, “I’ll be fine with it as long as you two aren’t involved in any other way. I won’t mind if you join them tomorrow.”
Ian smiled. “Don’t worry. There won’t be anything else between me and her. I’m out of her league for sure.”
Hearing that, Cindy couldn’t help but laugh. “She’s still below your standards with that position and those looks? I think I’m in danger now.”
Ian leaned in and reached over the table to touch Cindy’s face. “You’re way better than her, exactly the way I like my woman.”
Cindy looked up at Ian. “How so? I always feel inferior when I see her.”
“Why would you feel inferior?” Ian asked, not understanding. “She can’t even compare to you in my eyes, except for putting up a front.”
Cindy let out a laugh. “Come on! Maybe she really wasn’t putting up a front. Maybe she’s just too used to it.”
Ian shook his head. “I’ve met many bigshots, and, well, how do I put this? A true person with power would be quite amicable because they stopped caring about the differences in status. Only vain people would wear their statuses like a billboard. Those people would show off how superior they are compared to everyone else. I think it’s a really pathetic thing to do.”
Cindy began to think about Yulia. She wasn’t sure if Yulia acted high and mighty on purpose, or she was simply born with that personality. Still, she did give off unapproachable vibes.
Yulia always emanated an aura that screamed, ‘you are not worth my time’. Cindy pursed her lips and thought for a while. “Well, since you put it that way, I guess I don’t have to worry so much about it.”
If Ian looked at Yulia with nothing but disdain, then it wasn’t quite possible for him to have feelings for her.
Ian comforted her, saying, “Don’t worry, I will never feel anything for her.”
Cindy nodded and said no more as the two finished the meal in silence. She was probably starving for real, because she ate quite a large portion of the food. Luckily, Ian ordered more than enough. After the meal, she went to the couch and plopped on it, leaving the cleaning up to Ian.
“Did Hannah say anything about your work schedule?” she asked.
Ian was washing his hands in the kitchen. “I’ll drop by the company for a look tomorrow. I also have something to discuss with her. I’ve postponed quite a number of photoshoots, so I probably have to make up for that first.”

So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
