The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1903

Chapter 1903 Yulia’s Arrogance

A while later, a makeup artist came to do Ian’s makeup, and Cindy stopped talking to him. However, Ian kept pinching her face, elbow, or arm from time to time.

Cindy chuckled and smacked his hand away. They didn’t say a word, but the interaction was sweet.

When the shoot was about to begin, everyone started going out, and Ian patted Cindy’s head before he left. A moment later, only Cindy and Yulia were left. Cindy took her phone out and scrolled through it, ignoring Yulia.

Yulia took a seat and said, “Didn’t think you two would be this sweet.”

Cindy scrolled through her phone. “There’s a lot more you didn’t think of. If we aren’t sweet, we can’t still be together until now.”

And the drivers are already talking about you and your actions, yet you think you’re hiding yourself so well. That was what Cindy wanted to say, but in the end, she decided to keep it to herself. I should just stay quiet. It’s not like she’ll believe me anyway.

Yulia sighed. “Hey, if I keep this up, do you think you and Ian will actually make it till marriage?” she muttered.

Cindy laughed, and she looked at Yulia. “Say, if I do get married to him, will you still keep this up?”

Yulia looked like she just heard a hilarious joke. She’s so confident, huh? “Do you think you can marry him?”

Cindy was upset by that, so she put her phone down and looked at Yulia. “What? You think you can steal him from me?”

Yulia leaned against her chair, looking as languid as ever. She never thought of Cindy as a worthy foe anyway. “It’s just a matter of time.”

Cindy stared at her for a while, then she laughed. “I think all you care about is his looks,” she mocked. “You know nothing about him.”

And you disgust him. She wanted to say that, but she was worried Yulia might be petty and use her power to trip Ian up.

Yulia didn’t care what Cindy said. “If that’s what you think, it’s fine with me. As long as he has something I want, then that’s fine enough.” She continued, “I don’t need to hide anything from you, so let’s cut to the chase. I’ll make this clear, Selby. You stand no chance against me.”

Yulia had been in the industry for too long, so she saw everything through the lens of capitalism. She said, “You can’t give him anything. I’m not trying to brag, but I’m a lot better than you. Ian is a smart man. You guys are in love, so it’s normal he can’t let you go, but love will fade eventually.”

She crossed her legs and put on a haughty look. “You guys are still in the honeymoon phase, so he doesn’t care about what anyone else can give him, but once the love fades, he’ll start to think more clearly and think about what he can get from a relationship. That will happen eventually.” She chuckled. “Just wait and see.”

Cindy wasn’t angry at all, though she did think Yulia was an interesting one. It was the first time she had seen someone justifying stealing another woman’s man. Maybe it happened a lot in the industry, but Cindy’s circle was a clean one, so that kind of stuff never happened. Yulia was the first one.
