The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1915

Chapter 1915 Going Out

Aurora hadn’t had lunch yet, so she asked Cindy if she wanted to eat out together. Cindy had no appetite, but since Aurora invited her, she didn’t refuse. She went to change and left the house with Aurora.

They were just going to make do with a nearby eatery, but when they came out, they looked around and thought they should go a bit further, since they were already going out. Instead of calling a taxi, they went along the sidewalk, and a long while later, they came across a classy restaurant.

Aurora smacked her lips. “This will do. Let’s get something good. Our lives are already hard enough, so we should reward ourselves from time to time.”

Cindy had no appetite, but when she caught a whiff of the food’s scent, she started getting hungry. Well, we are making more money now, so why shouldn’t I enjoy myself? Lots of people are annoying me recently, so I should treat myself. They went inside and chose a room, then they started ordering their food. Cindy didn’t really care about the food, since she could cook, but when she saw the menu, she ordered everything she thought would taste fine.

Eventually, the waiter stopped them. “Are you two alone? If you are, then this is more than enough. It’ll be a waste if you can’t finish the food.”

Cindy said, “We have someone else coming later. It’s fine. Just take our orders.”

The waiter said nothing more. Aurora ordered everything she wanted to eat as well. They knew they ordered too much, but they were annoyed, and they could only vent through eating.

Aurora’s phone rang after the waiter went out. Most of the time, her phone was little more than an accessory. Only Hannah, Ian, and Cindy would occasionally call her, and that was all. Since Ian was at his company, it was impossible for him to come over, and since Cindy was right before her, it was impossible for her to be the one who made the call. Well, I know who it is without even looking.

She took her phone out and looked at it, then she chuckled. “He never was this persistent before. He used to be an impatient man. Should I feel honored?”

Cindy said, “If you don’t want to take it, I can do it for you.”

Aurora shook her head. Instead of picking the phone up, she left it on the table. “We’re adults now. There’s no need to hide. I’ll tell him myself, but I want to see how far he’ll go.”

Cindy thought that Aurora must still have some feelings for the man, or she would have already told him off immediately.

The call ended, but the phone rang again a moment later. Aurora stared at it, then she picked it up right in front of Cindy. She didn’t mind Cindy being there at all. ‘What is it?” she asked.

Cindy couldn’t hear what the man said, but she could feel that Aurora wasn’t being as strict as she was a few seconds ago.

Aurora said, “I’m having lunch outside.” The man said something, then Aurora answered, “Not sure. I just came out.”

Cindy picked up the teapot, poured herself some tea, and took a sip. She then realized Aurora was being silent, but instead of asking her anything, she waited for Aurora to finish.

The man probably said a lot of stuff. Aurora pursed her lips, and her face slowly fell.
