The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 1925

Chapter 1925 Cut Short

Cindy waited in the room for nearly twenty minutes before Ian came in.

Ian was holding a lot of stuff, and they almost overflowed. The waitress then came in, and she was holding some gifts from the fans too. Ian looked relaxed, and he smiled. “Sorry for scaring you. I was shocked too.”

The waitress placed the gifts on the table, then she sighed. “Good thing nothing happened. Do you want to leave right now, or do you want to wait for a bit? I can take you to the backdoor if you want to leave now. You guys can exit there.”

It would be a hassle to bring the gifts with them, but if they didn’t, the fans would be hurt if they found out about it.

The waitress knew about the dilemma, so she took a big plastic bag and stuffed all the gifts Ian received inside. “Take it. There are a lot of people here. If you leave the gifts around, someone might see it and spread rumors.”

The waitress was being considerate.

Ian nodded. “We’ll take them then.” Then he looked at Cindy. “Let’s go.”

Cindy went with him, and the waitress led them to the backdoor. There weren’t any fans there, and the waitress even stopped a taxi for them.

Ian and Cindy had wanted to take a stroll after dinner, but after what happened, they had to cancel it. Also, they were holding a lot of stuff, so they had to go home.

After they got in the car, Ian rolled the window down and said a lot of thank yous to the waitress.

The waitress waved at them with a smile. “Do come over if you have time.”

The taxi went around the restaurant. Cindy leaned on the window, and when the car came to the entrance, she could see the crowd still surrounding the entrance. Some of the more aggressive fans were calling Ian’s name out loud.

Cindy heaved a sigh. “Where did they get the news anyway? They’re fast.”

Ian didn’t know, but the fans weren’t too hard to handle. They might seem aggressive, but they knew what they were doing. It only looked chaotic because of the big crowd and everyone’s FOMO.

After Ian took some wefies with them, gave them his autographs, and took their gift, they slowly calmed down. Sure, some of them kept shouting, but the other fans scolded them, asking them to quiet down and stay in a neat line.

The fans were mostly rational. Even though they caused a ruckus, Ian didn’t particularly dislike it. He could understand them.

They arrived home shortly after that. Cindy felt a bit down, since she had dressed up for the occasion, but they only managed to grab dinner. Well, that’s a waste.

Ian took the gifts to the sofa, then he opened the bag up. There were a lot of things in there, from food to entertainment.

Some even wrote letters for him. Cindy would have been curious enough to open them up and read them, but she realized that the fans might have written them with love and mustered up a lot of courage to give it to Ian. I shouldn’t be the one to read this. She took the letters over to Ian and handed it to him. “Here. See what your fans have to say to you.”

Ian had received fan gifts before, though the company handled it for him.
