However, Yulia was wrong in thinking that Ian was a soft-hearted person because he had never been one. Even if Yulia were to sit in front of him today and cry, he would also not feel anything much. Cindy raised her hand to support her chin, the smile on her face widening. “Are you afraid that I’ll be angry?”

“Yes.” Ian’s tone was also filled with amusement. “You are my queen, so if you become mad, I will not be able to live another day.”

She thought that she was already used to his cheesy lines, but now that she heard this, her heart still blossomed with happiness. As she grunted, she answered, “Okay, okay. I got it, but you absolutely cannot meet her again. I am not jealous; I am just worried that your reputation will be affected by her.”

He understood, so he promised Cindy that he would not meet Yulia again.

Then, the two talked for a while more before hanging up. Cindy still couldn't sleep, so she leaned on the headboard and gripped her phone in a somewhat dazed manner. She remembered the project that she had invested in with Gary.
