Ian was surprisingly open toward the matter. "It's not like I'm committing anything illegal. Are they really going to prevent me from getting married at this age? For my age, it already counts as a late marriage, which is a hindrance to the country." After putting on his clothes, he turned toward Cindy. "If I wanted to help my country, I could have had a group of children of my own by now."
Cindy was suddenly curious to know. "Have you never thought about getting married before? Didn't you ever think about getting married and having children once someone you like shows up next to you?"
She was asking about the past when Ian liked Sophia. Even though Cindy never asked him about Sophia, it didn't mean that she wasn't curious about their past. It was because she knew that it was impossible for the two of them to be together, so she didn't want to cling on to it.
Now, however, she suddenly wanted to know.
After putting on his clothes, Ian went over and sat next to Cindy. "I never thought about it before."
He was telling the truth. Even though he liked Sophia back then, he never thought more about the future.
Maybe he knew that it was impossible between him and Sophia at that time, so he didn't dare to think too much.
The only time that he actually thought about settling down in life and finding a good girl to spend his life with was after he got together with Cindy.
Thinking about it, he pulled her hand over and held it in his palm. "The only person whom I ever thought of marrying is you."
Cindy turned around and looked at him for a moment before smiling. Regardless of whether he was telling the truth or not, she felt quite happy listening to it.
Then, he reached out and pulled her into his arms before rubbing his chin against her forehead. "Stop testing me all the time. Don't you trust me at this point?"
She was surprised that he was able to see through her intentions.
She was indeed testing him, but it wasn't because she didn't trust him. It was because she was curious to know.
However, she didn't explain to him and instead, she kept on cuddling inside his arms.
A while later, they received a call from Aurora, asking whether they wanted to go out to eat.
Cindy got up and quickly went back to the room to change her clothes. At the same time, she said, "Hurry up and call your friends. Ask them whether they are awake."
Therefore, Ian made a few phone calls while she changed her outfit.
In the end, he found out that other than him, all the others were still asleep.
He found it amusing as he walked over and stood in front of the room door. "Let's go out to eat. None of them wants to eat at the moment."
Cindy was a little surprised to hear that. "Are they still passed out? Are you telling me that their alcohol intake isn't as good as yours?"
That might not be the case. Maybe those people just don't want to come out. After the amount of liquor they drank today, it must have taken a toll on them. Even if they are now awake, they would want to lie in bed for a while.
After the two of them were done, they went out and saw Aurora waiting for them at the entrance. Initially, they wanted to have a meal in the hotel if the others came.
However, seeing that no one was out and about, the three of them decided to go outside to eat.
Aurora was walking next to them when her phone rang not long after.
Cindy quickly turned around to have a look. She initially thought that it was a phone call from Hannah. After all, it was time for the audition once they got back home.
Maybe the company is calling her in advance to remind her.
However, what surprised Cindy was that after taking a look at her phone, Aurora immediately hung up and put her phone back.
The latter's actions showed that the call was definitely not made by someone from the company.
Therefore, Cindy quickly asked, "Isn't it from the company? Otherwise, who else would call you?"
Aurora turned around and glanced at her with a few mixed emotions on her face.
Even though she said nothing, Cindy could understand her instantly. She opened her mouth but in the end, she shook her head.
Aurora knew that Cindy understood what was going on, so she let out a sigh and said, "It's just like you said."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
