Sophia chuckled and said, "Alright. I think it's time for us to leave. I should also head back to check on my husband too. He always comes looking for me whenever he drinks too much."
With that, Cindy breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, the group of women exited the banquet and went back to their separate rooms.
After splitting ways with Aurora, Cindy opened the door of her room and quietly entered.
At the moment, Ian was resting in a supine position. By the looks of his posture, he seemed as though he was still feeling uncomfortable.
Therefore, she went to change out of her dress before helping him to unbutton his shirt.
It wasn't convenient for Cindy since Ian was lying on the bed, so she turned him over forcibly. Just as she undid two of the buttons, he suddenly opened his eyes.
Immediately, she met his eyes and smiled. "Why don't you take off your clothes yourself? It's uncomfortable sleeping in this."
However, Ian was still staring at her without saying anything.
She thought that he wanted her to serve him, so she continued unbuttoning his shirt without clarifying anything. "Turn around. I need to take off your shirt."
Instead of turning around, he reached out and pulled her into his arms.
Cindy had nothing to hold onto, so she fell on his chest. I can smell the liquor on him. He did drink quite a lot just now. All of them did.
"Stop fooling around. You're all drunk, so can't you just go to sleep quietly?" She patted his chest.
Then, he rubbed his chin on her forehead. "I'm really happy today."
She hummed in agreement and reached out to touch his face. "Yes, I'm also really happy today."
He mentioned the previous matter once more. "Shall we get our certificate tomorrow?"
However, this time, Cindy didn't show any suspicion or refusal. "If you are still thinking about the same thing when you are sober tomorrow, we can do it."
Ian smiled and turned over as the two of them lay down on the bed. "I've already prepared all the documents and set the alarm. We will go there tomorrow first thing in the morning and be the first in line."
There was no point being first in line, but she didn't want to dissuade his enthusiasm.
She only gave him a simple reply and added, "Hurry up and take off your clothes. It's uncomfortable to wear this."
He was indeed drunk and now in a complete daze, but he still cooperated and listened to Cindy's words. After taking off his shirt, he began to take off his pants.
In the meantime, Cindy waited for him before getting out of bed to hang his attire. Then, she went into the washroom to wash her face and tidy her hair so that she could feel refreshed. After all that, she went back to the bed and lay down next to Ian.
At the moment, he was already sound asleep but still reached out to hug her when she approached him.
Truth was, Cindy didn't like the smell of liquor on his body, but she didn't avoid his embrace. Instead, she moved deeper into his arms.
And just like that, the two of them fell asleep a while later in each other's arms.
It was a long sleep for Ian as he slept until evening. When he woke up, Cindy was no longer in his arms.
As he rose to his feet, he could hear her voice coming from the living room outside. She must be on a call.
He gently got out of bed and heard what she was saying. "Yes, It's all done. Everything's going quite well."
Then, the person on the other end said something, to which Cindy continued to agree. Her voice sounded lukewarm without any enthusiasm, but there was still a hint of respect.
The first thing that came up in Ian's mind was that she was calling her mother. Why didn't I notice her awkward interaction with her mother when I visited her house the last time? The two of them aren't close but at the same time, they didn't seem distant. There seems to be an awkward atmosphere between both of them and it seems to be mutual.
Ian didn't know why their relationship would come to this but he didn't dare to ask, so he always kept it in his heart.
He stood next to the door and listened to the telephone conversation without going into the room.
Meanwhile, Cindy also told her mother about getting a marriage certificate. Based on Cindy's tone, he could tell that her mother didn't seem to have any objections.
Cindy didn't say much either. After informing her mother what she was going to do next, she hung up the phone.
Ian waited for her to end the call before opening the door. "You're awake so early. Why didn't you sleep for a little longer?"
At the moment, Cindy was sitting on the couch in her nightgown with her hair loose, looking especially relaxed. She stretched her body as she responded, "I couldn't sleep. I didn't drink that much, so I don't feel that sleepy."
Meanwhile, he leaned against the door frame and he did not have any clothes on. His appearance was somewhat indecent but since they were the only people in the room, he couldn't care less.
"Were you talking with your family?" he asked.
She slumped against the couch and answered, "Yes. I also told my mom that we might go and get our marriage certificate tomorrow. She said that I can decide for myself."
Ian raised his brow before he went into the room and grabbed a piece of casual attire from his luggage. While putting on some clothes, he said, "Looks like there's nothing stopping the two of us. Let's prepare to legalize our relationship tomorrow."
Looking at his back, Cindy muttered, "Aren't you afraid that the news will be leaked to the public?"

So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
