The opening ceremony for Noelle’s new adaptation took place in Stormridge. This wasn’t the first time her work had been adapted, but this time, she had been invited to join the screenwriting team. 

The script was still being revised, but the production had already started. 

As the saying went, “Time waited for no one“, so they needed to seize the momentum while the comic was still wildly popular. 

Although this wasn’t Noelle’s first time on set, it was her first time with the crew for the entire process. 

Naturally, she brought Rosie along with her. But worried that she might not always be able to take care of her, she specifically hired a nanny so she could feel more at ease during her busiest moments. But she had underestimated how complicated things could get. 

There were endless tedious details to manage on set. And since this was a large–scale production, the film company had cast the most popular young actor and actress for the two lead roles. 

On the surface, they all seemed pleasant and easygoing, but behind the scenes, their teams were notoriously difficult to deal with. The script had to be revised dozens of times a day. 

Noelle left early and returned late every day, often going several days without seeing Rosie. 

But Rosie never complained and simply waited patiently at the hotel for Noelle to return. 

Also, Noelle wasn’t sure if Seline had taught Rosie this, but lately, every time Rosie saw her, she would ask whether Noelle had finally started dating the “handsome mister“. 

Noelle knew exactly who Rosie meant by the “handsome mister“. It was none other than the male lead of the drama, the current top celebrity—Ebony Young. 

Rosie had run into Ebony twice at the hotel and immediately remembered his face. She told Noelle she wanted him to be her dad. 

Noelle tried explaining to her several times, but it never seemed to stick. Eventually, she gave up. 

That day, since she didn’t have much work scheduled, Noelle brought Rosie to the set. 

As soon as Rosie saw Ebony, she waved excitedly. “Mr. Young!” 

Ebony was clearly caught off guard. But with cameras rolling and dozens of staff members around, he couldn’t very well respond rudely. So, he smiled warmly at her. 

Rosie was thrilled but didn’t get a chance to speak with him because the director called for the shoot to begin. While Noelle got busy with work, she didn’t notice what Rosie was up to. 

Taking advantage of Noelle’s distraction, Rosie quietly slipped over to Ebony’s resting area. She had planned to wait for him to finish filming and chat with him for a bit. But just as she got closer, she overheard two people talking. 

“Is that the original author?” 

“Yeah.” 

She looks pretty young.” 

“Young? Didn’t you see how big her daughter already is?”
