There were so many people on set that no one recognized Rosie. Seeing how adorable she looked, they assumed she was a child actor from the cast. Just as they were about to call the assistant director, Rosie turned around and marched back to Noelle. 

Her tiny fists were clenched, and her pigtails swung with each determined step, making her look like a proud 

rooster. 

Noelle was still discussing the lines with someone when she suddenly saw Rosie stomping back angrily. She froze for a moment before asking, “What’s wrong?” 

Rosie didn’t respond. Instead, she plopped down beside her and started sipping noisily from her water bottle. Noelle glanced at the person next to her and apologized softly before walking over to Rosie. “What’s the matter? Are you bored? We’ll wrap up a little early today, so how about I take you to the mall nearby later?” 

Rosie looked at her without saying a word. 

Instead of pressing her, Noelle crouched down, meeting her eyes and waiting patiently for an answer. 

“I don’t want to stay here anymore. I don’t want to see Mr. Young again,” Rosie finally said. “I want to go home. I want to see Seline.” 

“Right now? But Mommy can’t leave just yet.” After some serious consideration, Noelle said, “How about you stay with me for a little while more? And I’ll call Seline to see if she can come pick you up tonight. How does that sound?” 

Her voice was soft and gentle. As she spoke, she reached out to ruffle Rosie’s hair. 

Under her soothing touch, Rosie found herself feeling much better. She sniffled hard and nodded. 

Noelle led her to her workspace, holding her close when she continued working. 

The scene wrapped up quickly, and Ebony walked toward them. “Ms. Swanson, I have a question I’d like to discuss with you.” 

“Sure. Go ahead.” 

Ebony glanced around and noticed Desiree Wilcox, the actress playing the female lead, watching them. 

The two of them were supposed to have equal screen time, but because Noelle’s story focused more on the female lead’s character growth, Ebony felt like a side character instead. 

Naturally, he wasn’t happy about it. His agent had tried to negotiate for more screen time, but nothing came of it, so Ebony decided to talk to Noelle himself. 

“Let’s talk in my trailer instead,” he said. 

Before Noelle could give a response, Rosie clung to her tightly. “No! Mommy, don’t go!” 

Ebony never had any patience toward kids, and seeing Rosie acting like this only made him frown more deeply. Still, to keep up his image, he crouched down and said, “Be good. I just need to talk to your mom for a bit.” 

As he spoke, he reached out to pat her head, flashing his signature smile in an attempt to win her over. 

But Rosie wasn’t having it. She rolled her eyes at him. 

Ebony’s smile immediately froze in its place.
