Angie’s face showed panic and tension. Although she was merely a distant relative of the Lopez family, only Walter and Benji remained as the main family members, leaving her without any older relatives of higher standing. Angie didn’t care about any rules. With Benji absent and Walter being useless, who would dare to criticize her? Just then, a girl suddenly appeared and publicly mocked her! 

Before Angie could get angry, Derrick, who was nearby, disdainfully questioned Shakira, “This is the Lopez family. Who do you think you are to speak here?” He had noticed Shakira earlier, the man’s eyes flickered with admiration. The woman was youthful and radiant, her figure graceful–she could be considered a beauty even in Crescentville. It was a pity that she was with Walter, a waste of talent. 

Angie straightened her posture, lifted her chin arrogantly, and said, “That’s right, this is the territory of the Lopez family. Continuing Angie approached Walter, getting a bit closer. “And my cousin came here today to bring good news.” She proudly pulled Derrick beside her, “Your cousin has graduated with a master’s degree from Yarovia College. Now he’s officially joining the Lopez Group to be your right–hand man!” 

“Pfft!” Shakira once again couldn’t hold back her laughter, sounding clearly mocking. 

Angie’s expression instantly changed, her heavily made–up face becoming harsh and sinister as she pointed at Shakira and shouted angrily, “Who do you think you are, you poor thing? You’re not even worthy to hold our family’s shoes; what are you laughing at?” 

Levi timely spoke up, a hint of warning in his tone, “Madam, this is Shakira, Ms. Nelson.” 

“What Shakira? I don’t recognize… wait, did you say her last name is… Nelson?” Angie widened her eyes in disbelief, staring at Shakira as if she’d seen a ghost. “You’re the one the Lopez family found from outside, the one who has an engagement with Walter?!” 

‘All these years, I’ve been trying to find women to put next to Walter and Benji, not only to build relationships but also for future opportunities to take over the main family. However, Benji changes women faster than changing clothes, and Walter has brought up an engagement with the Nelson family. But due to the child–switching incident, the Nelson family has raised someone else’s child as their treasure. Who would have thought that their own daughter would end up being raised poorly, wildly, and stupidly, with a tarnished reputation? She even eloped to Belaris, probably already sullied! The Nelson family themselves don’t even want her; they haven’t announced anything about her. I’ve already assumed the engagement is null and void. How could she even move to Walter’s side! Walter remained expressionless, his handsome face cold and profound, exuding an undeniable pride. “My fiancée does not need anyone else’s approval.” 

Angie didn’t take Shakira’s words to heart. However, with Walter protecting her, she was still surprised. Walter hadn’t turned against her despite Angie’s display of superiority. She smirked lightly, speaking casually, “Relying on your cousin’s age to bully others, using the excuse of a memorial to shove your son, who’s barely managed to get a degree, into the talented Lopez Group at this age–shouldn’t you have a bit of self–respect?” 

Angie’s face turned pale, “What did you say?” 

Derrick, like a cat whose tail was stepped on, retorted, “You shameless witch! I’m a legitimate high–educated master’s graduate!” 

Shakira wore a cold smile, not backing down, “You dumb idiot, your ancestors‘ ashes couldn’t even make it into the world-

Angie and Derrick glared fiercely at Shakira, their eyes practically turning into daggers aimed at her. Angie shouted louder to Walter, “Walter, I’m your dear cousin! She’s the outsider! Walter, you’re being deceived by this woman–she’s both stupid and wicked, raised without any guidance, and look at her! She’s even insulted us! And…” She hesitated, as if it was hard to speak but had to for Walter’s sake. “She’s already lost her purity; the whole of Crescentville knows about her dirty deeds in Belaris. Even the Nelson family doesn’t want her. Walter, how can you be so-” Before she could finish, Angie found herself unable to continue. She had never seen Walter looking so cold and icy. The man in the wheelchair simply stared at her, emanating a chilling aura. 

Walter’s tone was ruthless, “If I hear anyone speaking ill of her, I won’t spare them, no matter who they are!” His eyes were icy, as if she uttered another word, he wouldn’t care about her being his cousin at all! 

Angie shivered and instinctively took a few steps back, fear causing tears to form. “Walter, I’m only looking out for you!” she cried, her hands covering her eyes, glaring fiercely at Shakira. 

Just then, Levi received a message from the security room, “Young Master, Mitchell is here again.” 

Shakira couldn’t smile anymore. Suddenly, she remembered something and belatedly realized where those scam messages had come from… 

Angie quickly shouted, “Let him in to manage this family’s disaster!”
