“No need.” Shakira pulled back her hand and said calmly, “It’ll be fine in a couple of days, and we’re heading back to Crescentville this afternoon anyway.” 

She stared at them intensely. “What made you two rush over here?” 

“You were getting scolded like that. How could we just sit still? Also, if we hadn’t come here ourselves, would they have uncovered the truth and arrested the culprits so quickly?” Sean said, clenching his fists in anger. 

“Shakira, you were right. As soon as I spread the news about you not having a medical license, Yvette just jumped at the chance to cause trouble,” said Sean.

Sean patted Gideon on the shoulder. “But Shakira, things blew up online, and even Matthew and the others noticed. So….” As he spoke, he handed over the tablet with the news.

Walter studied her face deeply. Seeing she was fine, he felt relieved. But when he looked down and saw the scratches on her hands, his brows furrowed instantly. 

He spoke coldly, “Brian, head to the nearest hospital.” He had seen the news and knew the chaos involving Lonely Bird was spreading rapidly. 

When the villagers were causing trouble, he worried she might get caught up in it. Later, when he saw the road was blocked by the collapse and the crew was helping with the rescue, he knew she wouldn’t stand by idly.
