Chapter 213 Camila Extra 7
Chapter 213 Camila Extra 7
The morning sun poured in, and Camila slowly woke from her sleep.
The first thing she saw was Irene gazing at her with so much love–a look that Camila had never seen on Belinda’s face. As soon as Irene noticed Camila was awake, she leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on her soft, bouncy cheek. Before pulling away, she took a deep breath of that sweet, milky scent unique to her precious daughter.
“Good morning, sweetheart, Irene said softly.
Camila couldn’t help but feel a little awkward about her mom’s habit of sniffing her, but she still replied sweetly, “Good morning, Mom.”
Irene’s heart melted at her daughter’s sleepy, adorable face. “Sweetheart, your birthday’s tomorrow! Today, I’m taking you out to pick out some beautiful dresses. I want you to be the prettiest little princess at your birthday party tomorrow.”
Her eyes sparkled with excitement–she could hardly wait to dress Camila up herself. “And tomorrow, in front of everyone in Northeville, your dad and I will officially announce that you’re our precious princess.”
Meeting her mom’s earnest, expectant gaze, Camila felt a wave of warmth in her heart. She’d almost forgotten her own birthday.
In her previous life, she’d never celebrated a birthday. Before she was fifteen, she was in the orphanage–no one ever cared about her birthday.
In the three years after Camila joined the Jackson family, the only birthday anyone remembered was Agnes’s. Every time Agnes had a birthday, the Jacksons would invite all the big names in Sancho and throw a lavish party.
But no one ever remembered that she was the same age as Agnes, or that she also longed for her family to celebrate her birthday.
Agnes would get so many gifts on her birthday, while Camila was left forgotten in a corner, getting nothing at all.
Now that she’d been given a second chance at life, she was finally going to have a birthday party of her own. Camila’s nose tingled, and she almost cried from how moved she was.
She quickly lowered her gaze to hide her reddening eyes. “Thank you, Mom.”
Irene gently stroked her hair. “You’re my baby–there’s no need to thank me. From now on, your dad, brother, and I will celebrate your birthday every year. Whatever other kids have, our Camila will have too. Now, go wash up.”
Camila nodded and went into the bathroom, where she saw the toothpaste had already been squeezed out for her again. She started brushing her teeth and washing her face, and once she was all cleaned up, she picked up a comb to do her hair.
But before she could start, Irene took the comb from her. “Come here, Camila. Let Mom do your hair,” she said.
Camila was touched, but she still refused. “Mom, I can do it myself. The director at the orphanage always said we should handle our own things.”
Hearing that, Irene looked disappointed. All she wanted was to be close to Camila, to do her hair and make her look beautiful. But even such a small wish was turned down by her sweet girl.
Camila was so well–behaved, but Irene just wanted to spoil her. Just thinking about dressing her up like a little doll and taking her out to be admired by everyone filled Irene with pride.
Meeting Irene’s pleading gaze, Camila felt helpless but also deeply moved. She sighed softly and gave in. “Alright, maybe you should do my hair after all. I could never make it look as nice as you do.”
Irene’s mood instantly brightened, and she happily started braiding Camila’s hair. She was so skillful, weaving Camila’s long hair bit by bit.
Watching her mother’s hands in the mirror, Camila realized just how complicated it was–there was no way she could do it herself. But Irene didn’t seem to mind at all; in fact, she was clearly enjoying it.
When she finished, Irene clipped a pink bow on top of Camila’s head, making her look even more like a doll.
“Honey, Joseph, come here and look at our Camila!” Irene called out to Harrison and Joseph.
Harrison and Joseph came into the bedroom together, and the moment they saw Camila, their eyes practically sp with adoration.

Harrison said, “That’s my girl–so beautiful.”

Joseph grinned. “That’s my little sister–so cut
The two of them showered Camila with praise, and then each brought over a dress for her. Harrison held a white princess dress, while Joseph offered a pink one.
‘Camila, wear the one I picked out,” Harrison suggested.

“No way Carita, mine’s way prettier Joseph quickly said.
Neither of them was willing to back down, and Camila felt both incredibly happy and a little helpless at their stubbornness.
In the end, she put on the pink princess dress Joseph picked out for her, but to keep things fair, she asked her dear dad to choose a white cardigan to west over it.
She thought that would finally satisfy them, but things didn’t go as she expected. Next thing she knew, the two were bickering again over whether she should wear pink or white princess shoes.
Camila could only rub her forehead. Was Agnes this spoiled by Arthur and Harry en she was little too?
Turns out a father’s love really is as overwhelming as they say, she thought, letting out a deep sigh. In the end, she wore one pink shoe and one white shoe, one on each foot.
Harrison gave her a big thumbs–up. “My girl is the best. So young and already knows how to dress. This is what’s totally on trend”
Joseph scooped Camila up and planted a loud kiss on her chubby cheek. “My little sister is a born fashionista! You’re amazing, Camila
trene cupped her face, looking at Camila like Camila was the cutest thing in the world. “Oh my, our sweetie just needs a little dressing up and she’s a total fairy! How can anyone be this adorable? Mommy’s precious angel!”
Camila was a bit speechless. She was starting to worry they’d spoil her rotten.
The whole family kept showering Camila with compliments, not the least bit embarrassed or shy about it.
Once Camila was all dressed up, Harrison picked her up. “Camila, I have to go to work, so I can’t take you shopping for dresses today. But don’t worry. I promise I won’t miss your birthday tomorrow.”
Camila held Harrison’s handsome face. “Don’t worry, Dad. Mom and Joseph will go with me.” She paused, and then added,” But I’ll miss you.”
“That’s my sweet girl,” Harrison said, kissing her cheek before handing her over to Irene. “Honey, I’m leaving Camila to you. I‘ m off to work.”
“Drive safe,” Irene replied.
With Harrison gone, Camila headed out with Irene and Joseph.
In Northeville’s biggest children’s clothing store, Irene and Joseph were completely dazzled by all the princess dresses. If it looked good on Camila, they wanted it–no hesitation at all.
Camila tried on dress after dress, and every time she came out, Irene and Joseph would gasp and shower her with praise. They pointed at every dazzling piece with gasps of delight, barely pausing before demanding the shop clerk wrap each one
Camila looked around at the endless racks of dresses and sighed. Her mom and brother had picked out over a hundred beautiful outfits.
Irene and Joseph were way more excited than Camila herself. They were totally spoiling her. Camila found their shopping frenzy almost frightening–yet the store clerk just kept grinning.
Camila tried to stop them, but there was no way–she could only let her dear mom and brother go wild.
The clerk noticed Camila was starting to look a bit bored and invited her to sit on the sofa. “Are you thirsty, sweetie? I’ll get you a drink,” she said kindly.
After trying on so many outfits, Camila was sweating and actually a little thirsty.
“Thank you, ma’am,” she said, beaming up at the clerk.
The clerk was completely smitten by how polite and adorable Camila was. ‘Everyone’s always going on about having more babies, and this girl is absolutely perfect, just what any mom would want.
‘She’s so well–behaved, so cute, so polite. Honestly, the more of these, the better!‘ she thought to herself.
Irene and Joseph had picked out over a hundred outfits, and even after trying on so many, Camila never once c or fussed. In nearly ten years on the job, the clerk had never met a child as patient and sweet as her.
She happily went to get Camila a drink. Just then, three people walked in.

The woman was dressed head–to–toe in designer brands–a real socialite. She had an LV bag on her left arm, held a five–year -old girl’s hand with her right, and the girl’s other hand was being held by a boy who looked about ten.
It was Belinda, Agnes, and Harry. They looked like the perfect family–good–looking, confident, and with an air of privilege.
“Agnes, take a look and see which dress you like. Mommy will buy it for you,” Belinda said with a smile.

Harry grinned. “Our little princess deserves the best. I’m going to buy every pretty princess dress here for Agnes” “Wow, this store is huge!” Agnes exclaimed. “It’s even bigger than the biggest one in Sancho!”
Camila heard the voices and looked over. The moment she saw them, her eyes narrowed.
She’d always known she’d run into them again in this life, but she never thought it would happen so soon.
Belinda was still as beautiful as ever–maybe even younger than Camila remembered. She was in her thirties, but her flawless skin made her look barely twenty–five.
Harry hadn’t grown into the tall, imposing man he’d become, but that arrogant look on his face was exactly the same as in Camila’s memories.
And Agnes embodied the Jackson family’s treasured princess. She wore a puffy dress, her long hair in a bun with a crystal hairpin. She looked every bit the pampered rich girl.
‘So, when I was rotting in that orphanage in my previous life, Belinda and Harry were already taking Agnes on trips to Northeville. I didn’t even know what a vacation looked like back then, Camila thought.
She forced down the hatred bubbling up inside and looked away. She was still too young. As long as they didn’t come looking for trouble, she could put her previous–life grudges aside for now.
Camila sat quietly on the sofa, not saying a word or even glancing at the Jacksons. But just because she kept to herself didn’t mean others would do the same.
Agnes complained, pouting, “How come there aren’t any pretty dresses in such a big mall?”
Belinda and Harry glanced around the store, but honestly, there wasn’t a single dress that really stood out.
Just then, the shop clerk came over to Camila with a glass of milk and handed it to her.
“Thank you,” Camila said as she took it.
The clerk patted her gently on the head. “You’re welcome.” Serving such a sweet, well–behaved kid was a pleasure for her.
Belinda brought Harry and Agnes over and asked, “Do you have any other dresses in the store?”
