Chapter 0161
Now, all of that was gone. But who could I blame for it all?
At the end of the day, was I the one who destroyed the relationship between the Hawk family? Or was Claudia the one who had ruined my marriage with Nicholas?
Would a normal family have a sister who was obsessed with possessing their own brother?
The woman who Frances had referred to as Jasmine covered her
mouth shyly. She smiled faintly, showcasing her dimples.
“Frances, I’m sure Claudia and Nicholas will be fine. Why don’t we sit and wait for a while? It won’t take long for the doctors to stitch up a wound.”
There was an air of elegance and grace around the woman. She looked at me and said, “Hello, miss. Could you please move aside. for Frances to sit? She rushed over here, so she’s exhausted by the journey.”
I didn’t want to move, but my hands and feet felt like they had been tied up by an invisible string, slowly pulling me into a deep abyss. It even felt difficult to breathe.
The woman was carrying a branded handbag, and there was a string of wooden beads attached to her bag coming into sight as she
moved.
The beads were big and did not seem to be the size of a woman’s bracelet. The branded bag made the beads look old and out of place. But the more out of place the beads looked, the clearer I could see them.
My brain immediately went blank as I felt like my surroundings had been covered in a huge sheet. I recalled a conversation I had with Nicholas some time back.
“Where’s your beads?”
The woman before me stretched her hand out and said, “Hello, my name is Jasmine Cooper. Do you like my beads?”
