Jasmine’s lips twitched as she forced a smile. She sneered as she asked, “Ms Jones, how can you be so harsh with your words? Are you upset?”

I smiled and looked at Jasmine. “I’m just feeling worried about you. He’s raising you as a pet. No matter what, it sounds a bit cheap.”

Jasmine paled as her hand that had been wrapped around Nicholas‘ arm immediately clenched tightly

But she was much more mature than Claudia and did not make a fuss. She just turned to Nicholas and said, “Nick, let’s hurry up and get this over with. Your parents are still waiting for us.”

Undoubtedly, Jasmine was just trying to tell me that she had already received Nicholas‘ parents‘ approval.
