Trouble in Paradise (Arianna and Nicholas) novel Chapter 301

Pete raised his hand, vowing in a way that was both playful and endearing. I ignored his attempts to be cute and shook my head. I didn't want him to regret his decision later.

"How about five days?" he asked.

I stayed silent.

"Three days, but not a day less, Ari." He became serious.

"No matter what you say, I can't let you swallow this anger on your own. So, stop trying to persuade me. I've set my heart on you. If I can't even protect you, what kind of man am I?"

All the words I wanted to say got stuck in my throat, blocked by the determination in his eyes. All I could ask was, "What are you planning to do?"

"You don't need to know, but I guarantee it'll make him regret it!" Pete's expression turned fierce. "I need my dad to realize that losing me would be a huge loss. His eldest son isn't invincible!"

"You won't go too far, will you?" My face turned pale in the video, afraid Pete might do something reckless.

"It's my brother and my dad. No one's getting hurt. They'll just lose some money."

"Alright. As long as you know your limits."

"Alright then. I'll transfer some money to you later. If you see any furniture you like in Lexton City, just buy it and have it sent to the house.

"We can figure out the arrangements when I get there. From now on, I'll handle all the heavy tasks at home. I can't let my sweetheart tire herself out."

The term "sweetheart" caught me off guard, and I touched my cheek, feeling a bit flustered. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about you, my sweetheart!" Pete winked mischievously.

Hearing Pete call me "sweetheart" over and over made me a bit embarrassed. However, the anxiety I had been feeling for days finally began to fade under his influence.
