“If you have the chance, I would appreciate it if you could put in a few good words for me to Mr. Hawk. After all, the more money I make, the better Yasmine’s life will be.”

Although Leo had said that, I couldn’t tell what was true and what was not. But seeing how good and gentle he was when he took care of Yasmine, I concluded that he must have been somewhat of a decent

man.

I recalled the last thing Yasmine had told me before she had gotten drunk. She told me that she knew what she was doing.

She also told me that she didn’t want me to sacrifice anything else for her sake and that she also wanted to do something for me for a change. I could somewhat understand her thought process.

“Our relationship will only grow closer in the future. There’s no need for you to be so polite with me.”
