Christopher hesitated, stroking his chin. He glanced at Claudia and asked, "Can I trust you?"
"Mr. Newton, you can absolutely trust me. I'm right here. Where could I possibly go?" Claudia replied.
Christopher turned his gaze toward me and suddenly burst into laughter. "Ariana, I promise I won't make things difficult for Jones Corporation. But I'm sorry, you'll have to come with me!"
I kept my expression cold as I replied, "If you dare to go through with this, it won't be the Jones Corporation worried about your threats. It'll be us making things hard for you, all the way to the end!"
Perhaps my soft tone lacked any real threat. Not only did Christopher ignore the threat, he pulled me roughly into his arms, running his hand over my face with a lecherous smile.
"No wonder Nelson enjoys himself so much. There's just something about young girls."
His disgusting touch felt like being licked by a venomous snake. As he lifted me effortlessly, the world began to spin. I felt dizzy and nauseous.
Kicking the door open, Christopher shot Claudia a warning look. "If this is another one of your lies, you know what will happen."
Claudia nodded, and a twisted smile slowly spread across her face. She blamed me for everything she had lost, and she wanted me dead badly.
If I were gone, Nicholas would surely think of her during his lonely moments. Even if it was just reminiscing about the past, she would still have a place in his heart.
Claudia curled up on the floor, hugging herself tightly as tears streamed down her face. Nicholas had been taken away by me. She missed him so much…
Christopher led me through a secluded VIP passage, and we didn't encounter a single person. I didn't even have a chance to cry for help.
