Trouble in Paradise (Arianna and Nicholas) novel Chapter 676

I could hardly believe it—something even Neal couldn't achieve, Nicholas managed effortlessly. The evidence against Nelson was laid bare for everyone to see.

I stared coldly at Nelson, already envisioning his inevitable downfall.

It turned out that beyond his flesh trade, he had also ventured into the heinous business of organ trafficking. With such direct evidence of this black market chain exposed, there was no way he'd survive this.

At that moment, Nelson finally snapped to his senses. He roared viciously, "There's a traitor! Who is it? Step forward!"

He'd lost it. Pulling a handgun from his coat, he waved it aimlessly at the sea of people below, his voice full of rage.

"Who? Who dares betray me?"

"A gun!"

The crowd erupted into chaos, panic spreading like wildfire in the spacious hall.

The next second, Nicholas pulled me tightly into his arms, pushing me down beneath him. "Careful! Don't lift your head!"

My heart pounded wildly. Enveloped in his coat, I could barely see any light and had no idea what was happening outside.

"Nicholas, what do we do?"

Nelson had gone mad, and he had a gun. Could anyone stop him?

"Nicholas, let me out!" If Nelson wanted revenge, I'd undoubtedly be his primary target. "Let me out. I don't want to drag anyone else into this."

Especially not Nicholas. I couldn't bear for him to be hurt. I couldn't let anyone else die in front of me!

Just then, the curtain separating the backstage area suddenly flew open. Yasmine, completely oblivious to the tense atmosphere up front, walked out smiling, still relishing in Claudia's stupidity.
