Little Gary frowned as he stared at the man who interrupted the conversation.
Just as he was about to speak, Heinz interrupted him again.
"Call me daddy again. I heard you calling me just now, but I could totally hear more of it. Come on." Heinz looked at Little Gary's awkward face and wanted to tease him more.
Little Gary's face flushed immediately. He huffed and said, "Who called you daddy? Stop flattering yourself. You're just like an old peacock with its tail wide open. You're so full of yourself."
"Yes, I am an old peacock. In fact, only male peacocks can open up their beautiful tails to attract females. Therefore, in the future, you will also be a male peacock that can open your tail, so it would be better for you to not laugh at me now," Heinz entered the room and sat by their bed while smiling at Little Gary.
He was feeling awkward with the way Heinz stared at him. "Who allowed you to enter our room without knocking on the door? You even interrupted me just now. How rude of you."
"Hey little guy, can we focus on something else? That arrogant little face of yours is so annoying to look at. Why did you turn from such a cute little guy into such an awkward one? What's so hard about calling me "dad" directly? Am I not your dad as proven by the DNA results, or did you think that you could defy science?" Heinz's long speech almost gave Little Gary a headache.
The little guy frowned. "You win. You're just as talkative as that little demon."
Looking at this little guy, Heinz figured that he wouldn't start calling him dad until he approached him more, so he should go along with him to make him feel his fatherly "love".
"Little demon?" Heinz was very puzzled, "Who? Who's a little demon?"
Ernest quickly explained, "Dad, it's Maria. She is a little demon. She has been pretending to cry all the while, just like a little demon who pretends to be innocent. Both Gary and I discovered her secret."
Heinz was still confused as to what Ernest meant.
"Let's not talk about this first. I'm not done being called dad yet. Little Gary, just now you called me dad. Come on, let's do it officially this time," he said.
Little Gary frowned and ignored him.
Heinz hugged him. "Did you think that this was up to you to decide?"
"What are you doing?" Little Gary growled and smelled the residue of wine from Heinz, which made him frown, "Ew, you were drinking. That alcohol smell is too strong. Quickly let go of me. I hate this kind of smell the most."
Little Gary didn't want to look into Heinz's eyes and neither did he want him to look into his own eyes. He pushed Heinz away in disgust.
Heinz felt excited when Little Gary put his hands on his face, even if it was to push him away.
In fact, he felt so excited that it felt like a dream. He found it surreal that he already had two children who grew up so well.
However, it was indeed unpleasant for this little guy to be pushing him away like this.
He frowned as he watched how this guy tried to run away from him so desperately. Deep down, he understood it wasn't the alcohol smell that Little Gary truly despised; instead, what he truly despised was the act of getting close to him. After all, they had never really interacted so closely before.
As such, the eldest son and grandson of the Jones Family, Master Little Gary, was still very awkward and stuck-up, so Heinz guessed that he would have to be more proactive as the adult here.
Heinz held him tightly again, "This is an expensive wine so it shouldn't smell that bad. Furthermore, you'll have to start drinking when you grow older anyway, so just take this opportunity to get used to this sort of smell."
Being held tightly in his father's arms made Little Gary feel even more awkward. He struggled to escape from his arms again.
"Oh my goodness, just let me go already! I already mentioned that I hate this smell a lot! Stop making me smell this, ew!"
"Call me dad and I'll consider letting you go."
"The more you insist, the more I wouldn't want to," Little Gary was adamant about it.
Heinz laughed, gave him a peck on the cheek before finally letting him go.
Little Gary immediately covered his flushed face and looked at Heinz in disgust, "Stay away from me."
