Timothy rushed to the hospital and saw Heinz's bodyguards in the corridor.
He immediately walked up and asked them, "What happened to Grace? How did she end up in the hospital? She was still fine when I left."
Seeing Timothy looking so pale and worried, the bodyguards didn't dare to say much either. Without the president's order, they could only dutifully stay there to protect her. They dared not to say anything else.
"Mr. Yarbrough, We're sorry. We don't know the exact reason. You'd better ask the president yourself," one of the bodyguards told him.
The bodyguard personally knocked on the door for him.
Soon, Heinz came out with a serious face. When he saw Timothy, he frowned intensely and was not as relaxed and friendly as before.
As soon as Timothy saw this situation, his heart sank. He asked again anxiously, "Heinz, what's going on? Why was Grace hospitalized? Can I go in and look at her?"
"Grace just fell asleep," Heinz said. "Let's find a place outside and talk about this. She's exhausted."
"Okay, is Grace alright?" Timothy didn't get to see her, so he surely was even more worried. He could only look at the door of the ward.
Seeing this, Heinz stayed calm. However, when he thought about what she and the children in her belly might suffer, he felt very depressed and could not breathe properly.
Thus, he looked at Timothy expressionlessly. He said in a rather impolite tone, "If she was alright, I wouldn't call you to the hospital in the middle of the night, Mr. Yarbrough. I would've waited until tomorrow morning."
Timothy's heart skipped a beat. He sensed that something bad had happened. He looked again at the door of the ward, and he was really worried.
He saw the sign on the ward, written "Gastroenterology".
Gastroenterology!
Grace was in this place. Did it mean that she had food poisoning?
He looked at Heinz again and wanted to ask eagerly.
Heinz left immediately, giving no chance for Timothy to speak in front of the ward.
Timothy could only follow behind him.
It was midnight and there was nowhere to go. They went to a 24-hour cafe outside the hospital. After sitting down, the atmosphere was still heavy.
There were not many people in the cafe at midnight.
Timothy looked around. Fortunately, there were not many people around.
He whispered, "I don't know what's going on, but I can see that your face doesn't look good. If I'm not wrong, this should have something to do with me, right? Gastroenterology; was Grace poisoned?"
"It does relate to you," Heinz did not hide the truth. "Grace had diarrhea and kept vomiting this afternoon. After she was sent to the hospital, we discovered that it was caused by excessive pesticide residue which was found in the basket of fruits you brought today."
"Ah?" Timothy was very shocked. "What's going on?"
The basket of fruits?
Didn't his wife give it to him?
His face suddenly turned pale, and he couldn't believe it. He murmured to Heinz, "That basket of fruit was prepared by Quinn, my wife."
Heinz's eyes narrowed.
It wasn't Mr. Yarbrough.
He was still angry, but at the same time, he breathed a sigh of relief.
At least, as a father, he didn't harm his daughter whom he owed for years.
It didn't seem like it either.
