True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1367

After being teased, Celeste's face turned red in an instant.

"Haha, I'm not laughing at you," Maria chuckled, but she still couldn't help but laugh, "Celeste, I'm really not laughing at you."

"I don't believe you one bit," Celeste also started chuckling with a blush on her face, "If you want to laugh, then laugh. You'll experience these things in future anyway."

Maria was stunned, and there was a flash of selfmockery in her eyes. Was she really going to experience it?

It was unlikely.

Liam didn't like her, but she still liked him.

That was why she didn't have much confidence in their future together.

"Come on, let's go downstairs," Maria patted Celeste to her feet and said, "They might get annoyed after waiting for too long."

"Ok."

When they went downstairs, Maria had already calmed down.

Girl talk was always private.

Compared to a hearty talk between guys, girls would always choose to keep their gossip a secret between them.

When they reached the bottom of the stairs, they saw Gary and Ernest chatting as well. The main topic of their conversation seemed to be Liam.

Maria's eyes twinkled.

Then, Ernest spoke, "Maria, Liam has returned home, and he is in an awkward situation."

"It's none of my business," Maria immediately retorted, "I'm hungry. Let's have dinner. It's a special day today. Shouldn't we celebrate?"

Ernest turned his eyes and fixed them on Maria's stubborn face. He frowned and looked at Gary again.

Gary also looked at him but didn't say anything.

Celeste was well aware of Maria's mood. She was covering it up.

She did not want anyone to know about her feelings for Liam.

She looked at Maria and sighed silently, but could only attempt to help Maria by saying, "I'm hungry too. Let's have dinner together."

"Dinner's ready," Gary had already gotten up and ordered the butler to prepare the meal.

Maria deliberately pretended to be lively during the dinner. Everyone felt pity when they saw her like this.

Everyone knew that it was heart- wrenching for someone to put on a brave face.

Therefore, after the meal, Celeste did not want to leave because she was worried about Maria.

Gary had wanted to bring her back to their residence, but Celeste was worried and said to him, "I want to stay here tonight. I'll go back tomorrow."

Gary glanced at her and asked, "Are you sure?"

"I'm sure," Celeste nodded very seriously.

"Must we stay here?"

"Yeah, I'm worried about Maria," Celeste explained.

Gary had no choice but to give in, "Okay."

"We can go back tomorrow."

"Sure," He was still very easy to persuade.

It was rare for Gary to not persist.

Nevertheless, Celeste was very grateful.

She was going to chat with Maria, but Ernest was one step ahead of her and pulled Maria to the rooftop to her surprise.

Over at the rooftop, they turned on the lights.

Although it was nighttime, the scenery was still beautiful and calming.

Maria sat down on the bench on the roof and looked at Ernest, initiating a conversation, "Ernest, what are you doing? You dragged me here right after dinner. What do you have to say?"
