True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1377

Maria was indeed in a good mood. It wasn't because she was happy for taking advantage of Liam, but because she found Liam looked particularly sullen. It was as if he was scowling after being reprimanded by his partner. Obviously, he looked furious but he did not dare express it.

She thought about her own grievances over the past few years. Then, she thought about how Liam was right now. She seemed to be secretly rejoicing in his misfortune.

However, she soon felt ashamed of her own thoughts. After all, she was human. She couldn't love a person and hoped that the man she loved would be happy with someone else.

Therefore, it was difficult for her to persist and stand firm in her beliefs.

After rejoicing, Maria was no longer as happy as she was before. Instead, she was a little sad. It was hard to describe that feeling.

After the meal, Liam went to pay the bill but was told that the bill had already been paid. He was surprised and looked at Ernest, asking, "Did you pay the bill?"

Ernest shook his head.

Then, Liam turned to ask Maria "Ms. Lowe, did you pay for it?"

Maria had finished eating. She looked at Liam and nodded, "Yes, I've finished eating. What about you two?"

Liam frowned, "How can I let you pay when I invited Ernest out for a meal?"

Even if he was jobless now, he was still a man. He would not be so impolite.

Maria smiled and looked at Liam, saying, "Yes, you only invited Ernest to a meal. I paid the bill because I ate too much."

Liam was stunned. He didn't know what to say.

Maria did not care.

Ernest teased him with a smile, "Liam, it's okay for Maria to pay the bill. She really ate a lot."

Maria had been eating all this time to release her stress and anger.

"Look, Ernest has no objections," Maria shrugged without a care about her image, "You didn't eat anything. I ate the most during this meal, while Ernest ate a lot, too. It's not wrong for me to pay. If you feel bad, then send me home as payment. What do you think?"

She purposely made herself sound distant.

Liam felt very uncomfortable. He didn't like feeling this way as it wasn't what friends would do.

"I'll give you the money," He insisted, "I'll send you back too."

"There's no need the," Maria refused.

"Well, add her contact then," Ernest smiled and suggested, "Liam, I'll give you Maria's number. You can add her and transfer her the money. What do you think?"

Maria was stunned and looked at Ernest subconsciously.

Ernest winked at her.

He was deliberately giving Maria a chance to obtain Liam's contact information.

"Okay," Liam didn't persist anymore. Instead, he looked at Ernest and said, "Hurry up and send it to me."

"There's no need to rush," Ernest laughed.

Liam didn't say anything either.

Before getting in the car, Ernest sent Maria's contact to Liam.

Liam immediately added Maria.

When the notification came, Maria's phone vibrated. She clicked on it and saw a stranger adding her on social media.

The person's username was an ellipsis.

In the information section, only one name was written there: Liam Robinson.

She couldn't help but smile and accepted the request.

Before starting the car, Liam transferred 2,000 dollars to her.

Maria saw that he didn't say anything after transferring her the money.

She kept quiet and put the phone in her bag.

Ernest's home was closer. On the way back, he suggested, "Liam, please send me back first. Then, I need to trouble you to send Maria back."

"No problem," Liam didn't refuse.

Soon, Ernest arrived home. He went to the trunk and took out a few suitcases. He then passed it over to the butler to heave them in. After that, he opened the passenger door and said to Maria, "Maria, sit in front. Don't treat Liam as your driver. Treat him with respect."

Maria looked at Ernest and knew that her cousin was creating another opportunity for her, but he was being too obvious.

"Got it, Ernest."

She sat in the passenger seat. After sitting down, Ernest closed the door and waved goodbye to

Liam.

Liam frowned slightly and looked at Ernest with a weird glint in his eye.

Ernest was still smiling calmly and innocently.

Liam got in the car. After starting the car, he drove away quickly.
