"It's not the right time yet," Maria shook her head, "I have to wait, as I don't want my father and my uncle to take action. I want to rely on my own efforts to pursue the career and the person I like. With the help of others, I will always be weaker."
"It seems that you have an idea in your mind," Celeste felt relieved.
"Yes," Maria smiled, "I have thought of some methods, but I haven't put them to use yet. I don't know if it will work."
"Then you should be happy. Once you have an idea, it means that hope is on the horizon."
"Yes, I really am happy," Maria's laughter followed immediately, sweeping away the depression she had before.
However, she still did not tell Celeste that Liam had feelings for her.
She knew that she couldn't bring it up.
That was because Celeste liked Gary. Since they liked each other, she didn't want to burden Celeste by telling her Liam's feelings.
"By the way, you sounded unhappy just now.
What's the matter? Tell me, and I'll analyze it for you."
"It's nothing," Celeste tried to laugh it off, "I'm fine."
"But your voice sounds weak."
"I'm just a little tired."
"Haha," Maria's chuckle sounded ambiguous as she smirked, "Don't tell me that you and Gary have been going at it all night. You must be tired, right?"
Celeste's face turned red and she felt flustered. When she thought of how Maria had eavesdropped on the conversation between her and Gary in the room, her face turned even redder.
She didn't want Maria to be worried about her, so she told a lie, "Yes, I have done it too much. I am so tired that my waist and knees are sore and weak."
"Haha, my cousin is amazing, isn't he?" Maria laughed even more slyly, "It's very joyful to have him serve you, isn't it?"
Despite Celeste's tone, she was secretly upset, "You'll experience this kind of thing in the future. Well, I'm not going to say much anymore. I'm going to hang up."
"Alright, let's stop here. Stay in touch all the time. I'll start executing my plan soon," Maria replied.
"Does it have anything to do with Liam?"
"Of course it does." "Go ahead then. I wish you success," Celeste grinned and gave her blessings.
"With your blessing, I know I'll succeed."
"Yes, you definitely will."
After hanging up the phone, Celeste sat on the edge of the bed with her phone in her hand. Then, she ruffled her hair in annoyance. Somehow, she felt sadness in her heart.
Her mind was filled with Gary's visage. She did not tell Maria that she had decided to break up with Gary and that they had fallen out with each other.
Their relationship had come to an end.
She was holding on to some sort of fantasy, wasn't she?
Gary had admitted that he was with Janice, but she was still holding on to her delusion.
Celeste held her head tightly, feeling even more frustrated.
"Don't think about him anymore," She couldn't help but mutter, ordering herself not to think about Gary anymore. She kept reminding herself of the fact.
However, his figure was still wandering in front of her eyes and straight into her mind.
Celeste was worried that he had gone to see
Janice.
She checked her phone and realized Gary didn't even give her a call. She couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.
Where did he go?
Why was she still so worried?
Suddenly, the phone rang.
Celeste was shocked and looked at the phone with joy. However, when she saw the caller ID, the surprise in her eyes turned into great disappointment.
It was Flynt.
Celeste was stunned. Taking a deep breath to calm down, she answered the call.
"Good morning, Flynt."
"Good morning, Celeste," Flynt's voice came from the phone as he sounded appreciative and excited, "The documents you translated last night are perfect. I checked thoroughly and found no mistakes, including the grammar and professional terms. It's all on point. I'm very satisfied, and I will most probably give you more documents to translate."
"It's good that there were no mistakes. Well, if you send them to my mailbox, I'll do them right away and send them back to you. In addition, you should mark the due dates on every file for me so that I can organize it better," Celeste said.
"Alright. Celeste, you're still so organised," Flynt complimented her.
"No, Flynt. In fact, I am more emotional when it comes to doing things," Celeste felt that she was not a particularly rational person.
"You prioritise relationships," Flynt continued, "That's amazing."
"So are you. You are also a very outstanding person who keeps striving for the best," Celeste said sincerely.
When she said this, the door happened to open behind her.
Gary's tall figure appeared at the door with many things in his hand. His gaze was dark as he looked at the girl sitting by the bed.
