True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1939

Leah was very frustrated when Ernest remained quiet. He was most likely asleep.

Normally, Ernest would have woken up and heard what was going on next door. As a man, he would have done something by now.

However, he didn't do anything.

Leah figured that Ernest was probably truly fast asleep.

She waited for a while as the noise from next door grew louder.

How could Leah fall asleep with the increasing grunts and moans coming from next door?

After a moment of silence, she had no choice but to get up.

Getting out of bed, she walked barefoot to the door and laid on the floor to listen to the sounds next door.

She could hear more now.

Leah muttered in a low voice, "Not only do you not sleep at night, but you're also disturbing others' sleep too."

Leah's tone was so disgruntled, Ernest couldn't help but smile.

It seemed that she was bored as she failed to fall asleep.

He didn't move. He just wanted to see what Leah would do.

Leah kept laying on the floorboard as she muttered, "Gary is such a big strong man. I wonder if someone as frail as Celeste can take it. Dang, I'm quite worried about her."

The corners of Ernest's mouth twitched. Leah was so adorable.

She was even worried about Celeste instead of herself.

Ernest remained still, observing what was going on.

Leah listened to Gary and Celeste for some time, but they did not show any signs of stopping.

Leah felt that listening to them was getting tedious. Hence, she got up and walked towards the bed. She lay down and faced Ernest.

She propped up her arms on the pillow, looking at Ernest in the dark.

Although she couldn't see anything, she still watched him.

After a while, she muttered in a low voice, "Ernest,

are you really asleep?"

Ernest did not answer.

"You don't look like you'd be so mean to me. How could you fall asleep so early?" Leah complained. She was very annoyed that he'd slept so early.

"Moreover, don't you think I'll be consumed by desire when you hear them?"

Ernest was even more amused. How could she be so cute?

She sounded as if she was going to burst into flame.

He did not say anything because he wanted Leah to realize that she wanted to be intimate just as much as he did.

Now that she didn't have it, she felt very uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, Leah continued, "Look at how Gary and Celeste just go for it without a care in the world. Shouldn't your rooms be soundproofed?"

In fact, their rooms were soundproofed, it just wasn't as good as Heinz and Grace's room. That was because they were afraid that they wouldn't hear it if the kids were in trouble.

Hence, it was not completely soundproofed by design.

Gary and Ernest adjoining rooms. Furthermore, Gary and Celeste did not bother trying to control their volume, so they could hear them from Ernest's room.

Hearing no response, Leah sighed deeply. Since she couldn't fall asleep, she had no choice but to listen to Ernest's steady breathing.
